This resort represents itself as "luxury" and I have no idea what exactly they consider luxurious at this property. They do charge prices as if you are at 5-star property but unless this is your first trip to Hawaii, you will quickly realize that this resort is a rip off and you can do much better elsewhere for exact same prices.
This resort looks and smells old. Dirty, disgusting, smelly carpets all over, non-existent (or rushed with attitude) service, remote location, weird rules, and just general nobody-really-cares attitude. This property reminded me of some run down casino off Las Vegas strip with similar looking people working there. Need help trying to find how to get somewhere from the lobby? Good luck! They will advise you to "just find the signs on the wall and follow them." Need concierge help trying to book something to do outside this place? Best of luck! Concierge will repeatedly hang up the phone on you pretending it's "bad connection". Want to eat in over-priced Ola restaurant on the property? You will get so much attitude from this "fine dining" on the beach place but you will still keep coming back and eat here cause there is nowhere else to go. Want to see sunset on the beach? Well, sorry, you can lay down and relax until 5pm, after 5pm some dudes walk around and bark for you that service is only until 5pm. What service?! Nobody knows, there is no service. Swimming in the ocean? Water is murky, dead corals around. Beach is clean though.
Location is far away from everywhere. Won't be a problem if this place delivered on their promise after charging crazy money, but most likely you would want to escape this place after 2 days and there is nowhere to go. This is not a hidden gem or hidden paradise or whatever, it's just some old barely 3-star hotel. You can definitely do better.
