“Wonderful place to play and relax!”

We have been here 4 times and loved it each time. Highly recommend it. The staff are superb. The food is fantastic. The customer service is top notch. We also highly recommend the diving. Erwin and his wife. Esther and their dive masters are great. The only thing that could be improved on are the mattresses, but we slept decently enough.

We stayed at Turtle Bay for 5 nights as the second part of our honeymoon in Hawaii. After a very average experience during the first part, we were tired and a bit iffy about the service we can expect.

My wife checked us in and she said that the gentleman who she spoke with was "amazing". He listened and understood how we were going with our trip. He advised that although there were no complimentary upgrades they could offer, he would put us on the 4th level (of 6), offered the option of a sunrise or sunset view and asked us to return to change rooms if we were not satisfied.

.... We were EXTREMELY satisfied with the room, experience and service offered.

The Hula Grille located in the lobby area of the resort had good food and service. The gym staff and facilities, great. We came back from a walk on our 3rd day (I think) and Danna (management) had sent us a complementary bottle of champagne (thank you). The beach next to the resort is AMAZING. We tried snorkeling for the first time while we were there and loved it.

Negatives: The helpful guys at the recreation desk were not the friendliest and not the most helpful. There's a restaurant on the beach called Ola's we found to be a bit on the pretentious side. We had lunch and cocktails there which was great (both food and drinks) but the service was average. We tried again to have lunch there the following day and with 80% of the restaurant empty, they asked us to wait to be seated so after a few minutes, decided to go to the pool bar. The staff behind the bar, again, exceptional. The waitresses were a bit of a hit and miss.

We highly recommend Turtle Bay Resort and have them now as our default place to go if we want a guaranteed relaxing holiday.

Thank you so much!!

Room Tip: It's very likely that the staff will put you up in the best possible room

Green Features: They have a nice story about the Humu (Hawaii's national fish) and what they are doing to protect the environment. If we went by there service and ethics, it's likely that they are doing everything they can to protect the area

Where do i start, the first thing i would say is the website does not do this hotel / resort any justice. While you get a sense of size and comfort the website does not demonstrate the amazing levels of service you receive. Most importantly the effort that is taken to make sure your stay is perfect in every way. From the first moment you arrive the valet staff are there assisting and giving advise and recommendations, which continues through to the check-in staff. Do not be shy of the activity desk. They are friendly and have allot of experience across all of the activities, which we found very valuable when planning out your days.

Honestly i have never been at a hotel this large, while being treated like i am staying at a small boutique hotel.

The rooms are fresh and brand new post the renovation, the bathrooms are fantastic and all the small things have been thought about, from nice towels, to empty fridges for drinks and food you may purchase.

The easiest way to review this stay was perfect, perfect people, rooms and location.

We will be back for sure!

Room Tip: East Wing highest floor. Floor is not critical but east wing is the winner as it looks out over the...

My husband and I stayed in one of the beach cottages for three nights and had a wonderful time. The property was lovely and well groomed. The fine dining restaurant was delicious. The sunsets were gorgeous. The concierge service a nice bonus. The little beach was nice for a swim. Very family friendly. We rented a Harley for the day and drove up the north shore to snorkel and take some surfing lessons. Overall, I would recommend this property for couples or families.

Room Tip: The beach cottages are more private and quiet with great ocean views

An Amazing Hotel on an amazing location with Amazing views . . . what more could you want?

Staff were great, willing to help with anything. The rooms are large with large king bed and rain shower head. Lots to do in and around the resort Horse riding, snorkeling ( free for gear) and of course Surfing! Only spent one night, will be longer next time :-)

Wonderful, friendly staff was an added bonus to this beautiful resort! First visit, so I can only comment that the rooms were updated, fresh, and luxurious. Our 6th floor balcony view was spectacular! it felt like we were in paradise. Couldn't have asked for more.

My twin sons and I traveled to this beautiful spot last week.
Location says it all. Hands down - hard to beat.
Be prepared to pay though, once you arrive. And by pay - I mean, a lot. For example, the 3 of us did not escape breakfast for under $85 daily.
The good:
Very quiet! Location, scenery, most staff, rooms - cleanliness, size, spectacular lanais, music poolside, the pool! The grounds, pool bar.
The challenges:
As I knew that we would be arriving later in the evening - I called a week in advance to ensure that they knew we'd be a late check in - and to ensure 2 beds. I was reassured, no problem.
As others have commented - upon arrival (which was even later than anticipated - at 3 am) we were informed that they only had one king room available. But not to worry - they'd bring an inflatable mattress. That might have been find for a small 7 year old but not for a full sizes 13 year old. Not only that - but it was delivered, for me to set up. And once I figured it out (reminder - it was 3 am and I was exhausted) I discovered I was only given one sheet and no blanket. I called and they brought me the saddest looking, most thread bare blanket. Luckily we were indeed so exhausted that my son, the good sport, just fell asleep.

And for the pleasure of this inflatable - we were charged $50!!!!! For the room prices and resort fee that they charge. This is entirely unacceptable.

Another challenge - every restaurant has a different age for children's meals, as well as portions. Ola - should read toddler menu! Whereas the main restaurant offers decent sized portions.

Apart from that - we had an enjoyable stay. The rooms are clean and large and we loved spending time on the lanai.
The activities are many - again, pricey - but very enjoyable.

Room Tip: I don't think that there are any bad rooms...
