Spent three glorious days at turtle bay resort in january during an epic wave cycle. The 800 acre property, situated on a pristine point of o'ahu's north shore, provided excellent opportunities for both relaxation and adventure.
You can swim at either the pool or swimming cove, that is also excellent for snorkeling. Chairs and towels are provided, as well as 2 hour use of snorkeling gear. The poolside bar and restaurant was a great venue to watch the surfers and the sunset. There's also golf, tennis, surfing/SUP, horseback riding, hiking trails and a spa. If you are lucky enough to be there during a big wave cycle, you can easily reach sunset beach, pipeline and Waimea.
This place is amazing and I can't wait to return.

We stayed here for two nights after staying at waikiki for a week. When we arrived the surf was huge. The hotel is positioned beautifully, with panoramic Ocean views. Room was modern and comfortable and we had a lovely view of the ocean. Pool was lovely although the waterslide opening hours were poor and some staff we found a little rude. Service at the pool bar was very slow and when our food arrived it was cold. Breakfast buffet was amazing. Great choice of food and very fresh. Dinner menu in all venues was really overpriced. The fitness centre was great. Would recommend this resort but there could definitely be some improvements. There wasn't a lot to do for my three kids other than the pool. Was definitely worth the trip to the north shore.

Room Tip: Ask for a ocean view room.

My husband and I spent a week here and absolutely loved it!!! Beautiful hotel, outstanding locations, excellent amenities. All of the rooms have an ocean view. We played golf on the Arnold Palmer course, my husband took the stand up paddleboard lessons, loved the pool area and the restaurants. All of the staff were great too. I had a seaside massage, loved it! So much better than staying in loud, crowded Honolulu. We will recommend it to all of our friends. Love this place!!!!!

We stayed here 2 days ago at the end of our Hawaiian holiday and definitely didn't want to leave. We were in a beachfront cottage (#100) which was huge, private and with stunning views, made better by the huge swell the North Shore is experiencing at the moment. From check in, we found all the staff professional and courteous, always ready with a smile and an 'aloha' and happy to go the extra mile to make all guests happy.

During our stay, we ate at Surfer (dinner), Kula Grille (breakfast and dinner) and at the pool bar (lunch) and thought they were all fantastic. Yes, prices are quite high but this is Hawaii (where all prices were high) and the food was great so we thought it was worth it. Happy hour cocktails at the Surfer were great too :)

Can't comment on the activities as we did nothing but lounge about by the pool and on our lanai - the absolute perfect place to chill out. I did go for a run in the morning - the trails around the hotel grounds are gorgeous and quiet - feels like you are out in the middle of nowhere.

We loved Turtle Bay and will definitely be back.

I have to start off my review by saying that this hotel in my life time will be one of my favourite places i've stayed.

We stayed in one of the beach front cottages which was absolutely unbelievably AMAZING! It's expensive none the less and should reflect the price you have to pay to stay in one of these cottages. Well? It did and it was WORTH IT!

If you want to see what these cottages are about, watch the movie "Forgetting Sarah Marshall".

The staff & service are truly at the highest level possible that a hotel can provide! They were extremely attentive and took everything to the smallest detail. The only thing i'll warn you about if you plan to stay in one of the beach cottages is that there are insects as its by the beach.. We had these small little insects always congregating by the garbage containers.

The amenities are amazing here! You basically have everything an all inclusive type hotel would have although of course this is not Mexico and everything is not included! They have great swimming pools, bars etc. In the lobby you will find shopping & more!

We went to the spa and had a couples massage in a hut on a small cliff over looking the ocean which was amazing although unfortunately my table had a faulty leg and dropped while I was having a nice massage! It was no worries though as they were prompt to fix it and also gave me the massage at half price!

Oh yea! There's golf! This didn't interest us though. ;)

If your willing to open your pocket books for a luxurious hotel on the island of Oahu, this is by far the place to go.

Aloha!

Room Tip: Spend a little more and get one of the beach cottages!

Green Features: It was fantastic to see a hotel care so much about the environment. It was clear they pay a lot of attention to it.

We moved here after 5 days at another pretty dreadful place and really lucked out that there was availability. What a wonderful place for families with kids. Pristine accommodations and friendly staff, beautiful bay and pools. Couldn't be happier.

Awesome, epic location for the thrill seeking watermen and or beach loungers! A home away from home feel with just the right Aloha country! Relaxing pool side or going on exploring hikes to the many coves and bays around TB is perfect.
