My husband and I stayed at this resort for 4 nights. We had a very nice time. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are very nice. Be sure to take a hellicopter ride around the island. That was the highlight of our trip. The surf was high while we were there but we were stiill able to get in the water and snorkel a bit. The pool and the hot tub were both very nice. I would advise you to rent a car if you plan to leave the resort.

We stayed at Turtle Bay for 2 nights and the service from the staff was excellent, on arrival the bell service was fantastic from the concierge, partically Roger, Joseph and Jeff, excellent local knowledge and always willing to lend a hand. We ate at Lei Lei's one night, service was great food was average, and Ola' the other night our server Chris was great and the food was amazing would recommend if you are staying there. Resort is beautiful and well kept rooms are getting tired but are in the midst of renovation the wing with rooms 53-83 currently out of action they are due to be completed in the next couple of weeks. We look forward to coming back one day.

We stayed in the bungalows facing the ocean not the hotel. Everything was perfect They are renovating the hotel, bungalows are the way to go. Not one com plaint. Plan on going back and staying there in paradise

Severely disappointed - that's about all my wife and I could say about Turtle Bay resort. I understand renovations have started since we were there a few months ago and there have been a lot of ownership issues over the years, but for how much they are charging per night it really was unacceptable to us. Like many others are saying on here, the rooms have a lot to be desired and the staff at the front desk were not up to the standards of other resorts my wife and I have stayed at in Hawaii. The one positive thing I can say is that we were offered a full refund for our stay after speaking with the management. After cancelling, we immediately called Hilton Hawaiian Village (where we had stayed before) and booked a room. We ended up driving an hour back into Honolulu, but it was completely worth it to us. I'm very hopeful that the new management brings stability to the resort and that the renovations are completed quickly and tastefully. This property has a lot of potential, but needs some TLC.
