Advertized as a 90 minute trail ride, it took our group the first 20 minutes to get out of the corral. Once on the trail, the one vista you see in their advertizing photo, is pretty much the one vista you have other than fairly uniform vegetation. They talk about taking pictures, but only stopped once (other than for horses to relieve themselves), making it difficult if not impossible to get a decent shot. And, I guess, there was some interpretation along the way, but if you weren't close to the trail guides who were at the front and rear of the string, you couldn't hear anything that was said. It has such a high rating on trip advisor, but we were disappointed.

Thank you for taking the time to share your opinion of the horseback riding tour you took with us. We do strive to have each guest leave with a positive feeling about their trail ride experience, so naturally we are disappointed to learn that you did not. As you note coming for a ride in November it may be that day there was VOG that obscured your views. In the "fall' months our islands often have "kona or variable winds" which can blow in the volcanic haze from Hawaii island, however views into Waimea Valley , and a host of moss, ferns, and trees along side the trail are still visible. Our trails weave in and out of sun filtered forests, valleys and wild fruit orchards....green acres, literally. While we do permit picture taking, this is a ride in motion as stopping the horses with a mixed group of riders may lead to undesirable conditions. As our wranglers offer to take a photo of our guest(s) free of charge, with their own camera I do hope we snapped a nice image of you on horseback.
