“Great quality for the price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2013

I have routinely eaten there for the past 20 years. The quality is very consistent. Their pies are fantastic. On weekends there is a line outside the door! And senior citizens get a substantial discount. Highly recommend.

“24 hour coffee shop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2013

Breakfast available twenty-four hours a day. Senior and military discount available. Fresh pies. Good service. Located on the edge of the Pearlridge mall parking lot on the corner of Kamehameha Hwy and Kaonohi Street near Bed Bath and Beyond.

“As usual, a great place to dine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2013

Dining at this restaurant is always a delight. Service is terrific, food very reasonable and varied, restaurant is always busy! Enjoyed a wonderful breakfast on a beautiful Sunday
morning. Couldn't ask for more.

“So run of the mill...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2013 via mobile

Starting with the good: corn bread, corn chowder, purple dinner rolls. I had a chicken pot pie that had three bite sized pieces of chicken total, lots of peas not a lot of chicken. Spouse had Mahi Mahi, should have tried that elsewhere. We finished with pie, it famous for pies right? Ick. Over sweet, crust as thick as a cookie. There is so much wonderful food around Oahu, find some, if you're desperate and just need something to fill your stomach then this is it, just okay and edible. Oh yeah, afterwards I had my first ever attack of heartburn...I think it was the food.

“Comfort food, quick service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

The other reviews pretty much say it all. Quick efficient service, Friendly waitstaff, Tatty surroundings in need of a facelift, Average food in large portions, a fairly broad selection of pies which are good but not great, Long lines which they get through so quickly you can't believe it. This chain once had multiple locations including at least five restaurants in Tokyo. Now it seems to be reduced to this one worn-out location.

And yet I keep going back for the Nostalgia of the joint, like so many other people. Especially popular with the over 62 and the military crowd, since they get a discount. For others it's a bit more expensive than the average diner, for no particular reason.
