We made a couple of visits to "Coffees" during a month in Molokai recently. We visited Coffees ten years ago and were amazed at how it has developed since then. The big addition is a very pleasant cafe. The food is excellent and inexpensive. Try the French Dip or soft pretzel. Mule Skinner coffee is the way to go. We discovered that the cafe is becoming a regular hangout for residents of condos were we stay. If you are touring and interested in farming, this is a good stop. Look behind the gift shop to see some great pictures and explanations about the coffee farm and process. Also, there right on site you can see the harvest machines and other equipment. Hours are limited so check before you go. This is a good place to combine with a visit to the Molokai Museum and Sugar Mill just up the road and/or visit to the Kalaupapa overlook.
Then there is the coffee itself. We are sadly just finishing the last of our two pounds of Mule Skinner. We will be mail ordering more.
