“History and Peace”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2014

The church is open (they just keep the doors shut, so pull open the doors to see the quaint little church). There is a historical marker. The grave yard is still in use (sad to see a family there celebrating a special day for the young son they lost). And even a veteran's statue remembering a Union veteran from the War Between the States. It was a nice place to stretch your legs, learn history, and experience real life.

“Peaceful church”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

This is one of the churches that Father St. Damien built on topside Molokai. It is located on a quiet location after Mile Marker #10 or so, around 11 miles east of Kaunakakai. It is well-kept and has a statue of St. Damien draped with a few leis. You may visit the inside of the church as well as the doors are not locked. Photos of St Damien and the Kalaupapa area are displayed in the church. Worth a stop by especially if you had the chance to visit Kalaupapa.

“Adorable and Historical”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013

This is a tiny church built by Father Damien. It is one of the oldest structures on Molokai! We went by on a Saturday and were excited to see that it was open. There is not a whole lot to see, but it is definitely worth a stop. A little further down the road is Our Lady of Seven Sorrows, another Damien church.

“Great to See”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

The church is well maintained. We didn't see the inside but it was cool to stop and take some pictures of the outside.

“Father Damien's influence.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2013

The church is well maintained and in great shape. Father Damien's influence is felt all over the island so this is a must stop for tourists.
