“finally Chinese food in maui”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2014

I have been craving Chinese food and when asked what I miss about the main land I simply state good Chinese food. I had a super craving for chinese food one so strong that Thai was not going to cut it. So my husband and I went on a mission. We found this place by chance and am so glad we did. Its a little hole in the wall place and we went at lunch time and there was only a couple of other customers. We both ordered a lunch combo, I had the Cashew chicken with fried rice for a 1.00 more but well worth it. the portion size was large and everything was delicious, the veggies were cooked perfectly and they still had a good amount of crunch to them, the chicken was plentiful and cooked just right where it was moist with a slight crunch but not breaded which I prefer non breaded chicken. my husband had the lemon chicken combo also with fried rice, he loved it and ate the entire thing. He raved about the chicken, it was breaded with a nice crunch and was not soggy from the sauce, the sauce had a light lemon flavor and was quite tasty. We both cant wait to try other dishes from this restaurant! The service was quick and friendly enough however but not super attentive; halfway through his meal he ran out of icetea and was never offered a refill not a big deal.

“Average Chinese food, above average pricing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2014

The decor was average for Chinese restaurant, seating comfortable, and staff friendly. Full bar and selection of beers on tap. Cheese wontons were some of the best ive had, crispy with just the right amount of cream cheese and crunch. Honey Walnut shrimp was too sweet, and while good i was unable to finish due to the overwhelming lemon flavor. Also priced at $18 the shrimp seemed expensive. Sweet and sour chicken was good but nothing out of the ordinary and was $13. All entrees are served without rice. A very small bowl of rice was $1.50. Overall for 1 appatizer, 2 entrees, small side of rice and 1 mixed drink our bill was just under $50. And while this isn't a lot of money for a dinner for 2 it felt expensive for what it was.

“Exceeded our Expectations”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2014

After finding Dragonfly, (which was a little difficult), we were a little apprehensive because of the lack of customers and the location. However, we had no reason to doubt the previous reviews on Tripadvisor. The food was very good and the owner was very enthusiastic and helpful. She has only been open for four months after a significant renovation of the restaurant. It isn't the most upscale place, but very comfortable. We had the honey walnut prawns and beef with snow peas. The eight prawns were ginormous and cooked perfectly. The beef with snow peas was delicious and a very generous portion. We selected this restaurant because we were on our way to the MACC and it's very close to it. The trip to Wailuku to eat at Dragonfly is worth it.

“Delicious Chinese Food on Maui!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2014

What a real treat going to Dragonfly for dinner! The Chow Fun noodles, the baby bock choy with mushrooms and one other treat - everything was delicious and NOTHING was left over! Steve, the Manager and Annie, the owner were both very attentive as well as the professional guy working as the busser.

We are so happy we can walk down the street to enjoy this wonderful restaurant! DON'T MISS THIS WONDERFUL TREAT!
