The Maui Ocean Center is a smaller aquarium so we went through the entire thing in two hours. My teenaged kids remembered it from years ago so they wanted to see it again. We were very happy with the exhibits. We learned a lot about the fish that we were seeing while snorkeling, so that was fun. We loved the turtles and baby hammerheads. But the most exciting part for us was the largest tank with the bigger fish, rays, and sharks. We sat on the bench watching in awe. One of the workers, a diver and I'm assuming a biologist, talked with us for a long period of time explaining the differences between sharks and teaching us fun facts about all of the inhabitants. We were very grateful for the time he spent talking and answering our questions. My daughter has been a shark enthusiast since she was 3 and this was a highlight of our trip. The gift shop was huge and we bought the majority of our souvenirs there. One stop shopping! We recommend visiting and will probably go again.
