“Talk About Mixed Plate”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013

This little find is sparse on decoration but so clean, you feel good eating their wonderful local meals.
If you order the special, you get like 10 items that range from Lau Lau to wonderful fried rice.
And for the price, it can't be beat.
A well worth stop when in Wailuku.

“very clean, resonable prices”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2013

Stopped in for lunch. We were surprised on how clean the place was. My husband had a great deal for a Hawaiian plate for $11.00 with Laulau, Kalua Pork, Squid Luau, Chicken Long Rice, Mac Salad, Lomi Salmon and your choice of white, brown or fried rice. I had the 2 hot items plate for $7.00. The portions are very generous as we weren't able to finish it all. They offer a nice menu including breakfast items, burgers, sandwiches, salads, , saimin, & oxtail soup. They also have plate lunches from $8.00 Chicken Katsu to $16.00 Prime Rib. All lunches come with rice, mac salad or toss green.
The food was tasty, the service was fast and friendly.

“Stop in!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 28, 2013 via mobile

Great Hawaiian local food. The 6 oz loco moco was oozing & big portion, French toast slices were thick & fluffy, and eggplant & fried rice was wonderful! If you like to eat Hawaiian food & not snooty about atmosphere, this is a definite stop. The owner was there to serve us with a smile & very friendly. We will come again...next time for lunch. Yum

“Great Local food!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013

My husband and I ran across this place for breakfast after the swap meet in Kahului. Imagine a $5 breakfast in Maui!! I dream about their garlic fried rice or adobo fried rice. My husband loves the melt in your mouth Hawaiian sweet bread French toast. I took my daughter there last week and she dreamt about when she could come back. Not much ambiance but a lot of Aloha! They have a great catering menu also!

“Great Hawaiian Food - A place where locals eat”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

GREAT local food. The owner who was there to serve was very enthused about her cooking and delighted in explaining how each dish was made. Food was served family-style, with a bowl of each kind placed on the table from which the four of us could help ourselves. Overall, we ended up with 9 bowls of delicious food - various pork dishes, cubed salmon mixed with veggies, rice/beans and other dishes. The four of us ate for under $40 -- unbelievable value.

The setting is very simple, with plain tables, simple chairs and linoleum floors. But everything is clean, bright and the atmosphere was fun. Dishes were styrophoam and plastic. The owner's enthusiasm for the recipes, and her patience is explaining the traditional Hawaiian dishes was lots of fun.
