We loved this place. My wife an I spent one night at the Paia Inn to relax after the long plane ride to Maui. We wish we would have spent a couple more days there. Staff were accommodating, professional and gracious. The room was spotless and the decor was casual and classy. Once you are on the hotel property, you are oblivious to the town traffic in front. A short walk down a private little alley gets you to a nice grassy area right above the beach. A variety of beach gear is available free for guests.
During 5 previous trips to Maui, we had never stayed on this part of the island, and I'm so glad we did. Paia is a great place to explore. It was also a great starting point for the Hana trek, as we were way ahead of most of the traffic. No, it is not cheap. But it is the type of place that you will find memorable when you reflect on your trip. We'll be going back.

- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- The postcard perfection of Maui’s North Shore (white sand beaches, raging waterfalls, stylish cafes, and world-class surfers) just got even better with the opening of the Paia Inn. This beach town boutique hotel seamlessly blends modern amenities with the historic character of its building. In a nod to the town’s plantation trade days, the building’s exterior has retained its charm with tin rooftops and rustic hues; yet, the interior mixes contemporary island furnishings with the chic lushness of the W Hotel. ... more less
