“Great views but uncomfortable and noisy!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2013

Second stay but this time our bedroom was by the stairs(209) and we were constantly awoken by people coming and going, talking, heels on stairs and since at parking level even was an occasional gathering spot. The windows are just glass shutters so very little to stop any noise. To top things off the bed was hard and there is no other ventilation or AC. The LR was spartan and the cheap Internet rarely worked without constantly losing a connection, the wifi would not connect outside or to the bedroom nor was there any for people lounging outdoors. The resort is maintained well and the views from the pools and lanais are awesome! Even spotted whales!

Room Tip: Stay away from rooms by the stairs, 209-210, 109-110, 101-102 etc.

My wife and I spent a wonderful week at the Noelani resort on Maui. We were there from Ap. 1-7, 2013. We had a room on the ground floor in the 2 story unit. Our Lanai and room overlooked the ocean. We could see whales in the distance and green sea turtles feeding in the rocks below. The facility is older, but very clean and very well kept. The pools and hot tub were great. Grilling was available near the pool or you could cook in your condo. There were special activities on a number of the nights down near the pool. Bruce was very helpful in scheduling some seperate sidetrips for us. The Feast at Lele was awsome! What a nice laid back place to spend our vacation. One of the nice things was that there was no one trying to sell you a condo or time share. If we do ever travel to Maui again, we would be certain to stay here.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here at this lovely property, which was recommended to us by a friend who has stayed at this property for many years. The location is superb, and the staff is very friendly. The amenities (pool, bbq, laundry, etc.) are great. The stunning views can't be beat, and it was so relaxing to always be able to hear the calming sound of the ocean waves. I highly recommend this property! Excellent value!

This place was quiet, out of the way, relaxing, and perfect for us.

There were 6 of us, all couples, traveling together. We hoped for a cheap, secluded, but spacious enough spot in Maui, and this was it.

Newly remodeled, clean 3 bedrooms on top and middle floors, and the best part was the view. 2 lanai views right on the water of nonstop turtles, some whales, and surfers right outside our windows. It really was magical.

Note, this is the best for people traveling on a budget but still want the most bang for your buck. It's not a hotel, not a resort, and not too romantic. It's renting another person's condo.

They had chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas, cooking utensils. 2 pools and a hot tub. Lots of kids in the pool.

Great great spot for family. In Kahana, right below Napili and about 10 minutes north of Lahaina. Not much at all around you, but 5 minutes up or 10 minutes down you're in the thick of things. It was perfect for us! Thank you Noelani!!!!!!!!!!!! We will visit again!

We had a fantastic stay in room 119...it was the end unit which was great...the facilities were excellent and the pool, BBQ and amenities were spot on. We loved watching the turtles outside the room. The surf was great and it was lovely to wake up look out the window and then grab the board! The BBQ is shared but there are four in total, we ate late (8pm) each night so most people had finished by then. Overall we really enjoyed it, it suited us to the ground. We went to a resort and it was horrible. The view, the sunset, the hot tub, two pools, everything you need in your condo and lovely hosts. What more can you ask for. Highly recommended. We were also treated to a bottle of bubbles and chocolates on arrival. Thank you noelani we really appreciated the stay...

we stayed for about 3 days in early april
This place is very relaxing, we stayed in a ground floor unit that we could walk out of and have the ocean about 20 metres from the door.
The view is outstanding, the complex has two nice pools, one that is shallow and one that is deeper, the spa is extra hot which i like..eases the pain of the long walks.

If your doing a long stay, then maybe it would be wise to hire a car, but the local buses are pretty good..they go every hr and are cheap, $2 for a trip but its much better to get a $4 all day pass..the number 30 goes past neolani and if travelling to lahaina then you change at whalers village and get the number 25...about 40 minutes all up..
A taxi ride is about $25 one way to lahaina.

when you arrive its recommended that you have the intro morning with bruce..he does give a good run down of whats good and get things moving if you need to book things quickly...he helped us out a fair bit since we were staying for such as short time..
and give you tips on where to go for snorkelling or for some good walks around the area

the units are well equipped, one of the best self contained we have stayed in...comfy bed and nice tv....everything was well set out...only complaint would be that the 1 bedroom bed is located near the front near the stairs, so can get incidental noise late at night or in the morning if your trying to sleep in...

there are not that many shops close, but there is a shop about 10 minute walk down the road

all up a great place to stay....

Room Tip: ground floor, so you can walk out onto the the nice grass and sit outside with a beer and look at th...

We stayed at the Noelani April / May 2012. My stipulation when choosing accommodation for our Maui holiday was that I wanted oceanfront - this property definitely delivered! A quiet, lovely property, sensible accommodation with STUNNING views! A highlight for us was the sea turtles that were a constant presence out front, my husband went out to snorkel with them one afternoon. The accommodation, though not fancy, was clean, comfortable and spacious for our family of 4. We enjoyed the option of eating in and packing lunches that the kitchen provided. We were more than comfortable without A/C thanks to the breeze that blew through nightly. The pools were always quite quiet with stunning views of the ocean, the hot tub lovely at night with tiki torches lit around it. We visited family staying at a large, beautiful resort closer to Lahaina. Though the rooms were stylish and modern and the pool had waterslides etc, we (my 2 children included) much preferred our quieter and more picturesque accommodation. It was a wonderful stay - we will be back!
