“relaxing time”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

we stayed for about 3 days in early april
This place is very relaxing, we stayed in a ground floor unit that we could walk out of and have the ocean about 20 metres from the door.
The view is outstanding, the complex has two nice pools, one that is shallow and one that is deeper, the spa is extra hot which i like..eases the pain of the long walks.

If your doing a long stay, then maybe it would be wise to hire a car, but the local buses are pretty good..they go every hr and are cheap, $2 for a trip but its much better to get a $4 all day pass..the number 30 goes past neolani and if travelling to lahaina then you change at whalers village and get the number 25...about 40 minutes all up..
A taxi ride is about $25 one way to lahaina.

when you arrive its recommended that you have the intro morning with bruce..he does give a good run down of whats good and get things moving if you need to book things quickly...he helped us out a fair bit since we were staying for such as short time..
and give you tips on where to go for snorkelling or for some good walks around the area

the units are well equipped, one of the best self contained we have stayed in...comfy bed and nice tv....everything was well set out...only complaint would be that the 1 bedroom bed is located near the front near the stairs, so can get incidental noise late at night or in the morning if your trying to sleep in...

there are not that many shops close, but there is a shop about 10 minute walk down the road

all up a great place to stay....

Room Tip: ground floor, so you can walk out onto the the nice grass and sit outside with a beer and look at th...

We stayed at the Noelani April / May 2012. My stipulation when choosing accommodation for our Maui holiday was that I wanted oceanfront - this property definitely delivered! A quiet, lovely property, sensible accommodation with STUNNING views! A highlight for us was the sea turtles that were a constant presence out front, my husband went out to snorkel with them one afternoon. The accommodation, though not fancy, was clean, comfortable and spacious for our family of 4. We enjoyed the option of eating in and packing lunches that the kitchen provided. We were more than comfortable without A/C thanks to the breeze that blew through nightly. The pools were always quite quiet with stunning views of the ocean, the hot tub lovely at night with tiki torches lit around it. We visited family staying at a large, beautiful resort closer to Lahaina. Though the rooms were stylish and modern and the pool had waterslides etc, we (my 2 children included) much preferred our quieter and more picturesque accommodation. It was a wonderful stay - we will be back!

My wife and I were looking for a cool laid back place next to the ocean to spend a few days without the must do and see everything attitude. And this is it! The staff was great! The location near the small Kapalua airport was great! The grounds were great! and the location to the ocean was well, second to none. In fact it was unbelievable. Whales were jumping nonstop and turtles were to numerous to count. We'll be back!!

We have been staying at the Noelani since the 1980's and have always experienced a wonderfuly stay. Fairly recent upgrades to most units and the complex have made it even better than it was--if that is possible! You can't get any closer to the ocean than from your lanai, unless you get in the water. 2 pools, hot tub, bbq area with self-bar, beautiful grounds, helpful staff. Everything you need to relax, listen to the ocean, and enjoy your stay...

Room Tip: From the lower story you can walk out to a grass area from your lanai overlooking the ocean and you...

Not only were Noelani's prices more than reasonable, the staff was ALWAYS accommodating to any needs we had! I was apprehensive of no a/c but it was never required during our stay! We will definitely make this our top choice for a 3 bedroom condo again! Mahalo Noelani for your all your wonderful aloha spirit!!!

This was an all girls 50th birthday celebration in the 50th state and our first time to Maui.
The three of us were very pleased with the smaller size scale of the resort. It had everything we
needed but in a private quiet and intimate setting. Two ocean front pools, a hot tub, gas grilles, a herb garden and plenty of tables, chairs and loungers. Our lanai overlooked the beautiful blue water and we could see the islands of Lanaii and Molokai in the distance. Giant sea turtles could be seen swimming by every morning. In the afternoon they took naps and soaked up the sun on the huge rocks below or swam by us as we were snorkling on the beach next door. The location is convenient to bus service, taxis and you can drive easily to many area attractions and resteraunts. There are also shops, resteraunts and the farmers market within walking distance. The concierge Bruce was very helpful to us. Dont miss his informative breakfast meeting. He has years of experience in Maui and has personally tried all of the resteraunts and excursions in the area. He has your best interest at heart and will not steer you wrong. Thanks to Bruce we had some amazing adventures, a lot of fun and have memories to cherish until we return to the Noelani again. Our deluxe stuio condo was well equipped with everything we needed. It was very clean and comfortable for the three of us even without airconditioning. The ceiling fan and ocean breeze was all that was needed. We stayed in #228 being on the second floor gives you more privacy and an incredible ocean veiw. The tiki torches are lit every evening poolside as guest gather to watch the spectacular sunsets with their favorite cocktail. I would highly recommend
The Noelani Resort !!!

Room Tip: Second floor deluxe studio room # 228 was clean comfy well equipped and had an amazing view! Enjoy!

We had a wonderful stay in Noelani #309. We had a group of 5 people and the condo was the only way to go. Hotel rooms would have cost 3x as much. The photos and views on the condo web site are not touched up. The views are simply magnificent. The location is only an easy 10-15 minute drive from Lahaina. My favorite part about the location was taking naps! The sound of the trade winds and waves crashing the shoreline were hypnotic. I wish I would have recorded the sound. Heavenly. We had a room facing the ocean, while the other 2 bedrooms (on separate floors) faced the road. This was a little problematic for my parents. They are used to country living and complete quiet. They didn’t sleep quite as well due to the street noise. Nothing obnoxious – but annoying at times. There are no windows on the rooms facing the street – just louvered blinds. The pool and hot tub area are very clean and seemingly used very little. We had both to ourselves every time we went to the pool area. No obnoxious “chair saving” like at some resorts. The snorkel gear, cooler, beach chairs and umbrellas in the unit were an added plus. We met a number of people who had been coming to the resort year after year. Front desk staff is very friendly and accommodating. Overall, wonderful views, good pool area and economical. I would definitely stay here again. Make sure you check out the sea turtles on the rocks! They were there every day. Sometimes they would bask on the rocks located just down the trail (away from the pool area) that runs in front of the house next door.

Room Tip: Highly recommend #309 - 3 bdrm unit
