It was our first stop as part of our honeymoon in Maui / Oahu in September of 2011. We wanted to start at one end of Maui and move our away around the east coast.

Upon arrival, we were greeted and shown our rooms. It was studio oceanfront room and was functional in regards to having a kitchen, full bath, plenty of closet space, and a small balcony overlooking their pool, and beachfront area. However, the room was, as some other reviewers put it, "tired". They were also a lot darker in the rooms than shown on the website.

Even so, the view from the room was beautiful as the water was always in sight, and the stay was very comfortable.

One of the many benefits to staying at Lahaina Shores was the activity bookings that you could do, in-house, as they would give you a brief introduction to the area, and the available activities. As the hotel is a short walk to the center of Lahaina and the docks where most of the water-based activities began, it was a convenient base.

We had previously booked a Trinity Tour excursion (highly recommended), but was also able to book a paragliding session and a traditional luau right in the hotel.

It was a pleasure to stay there and is somewhere we would go back to if we were ever in the area again.

It started off bad. Arrived late afternoon so room should have been ready but when we got to our room, someone was in there fixing air conditioning. Took awhile for them to find us another room. We don't like complaining, these things happen but overall room was out dated and abit under average. The only really good aspect of staying here was the location. As it's on Front St, we were able to walk to all restaurants etc wouldn't stay here again, will pay more next time to stay in a nicer hotel

A great place to stay, very friendly and helpful, nicely laid out, on the water and very close to "downtown" activities but far enough away to avoid if desired. Ocean side is better due to some street noise and roosting early morning birds!

Stayed for 8 nights during October 2012. First 5 nights in a "mountain view" privately owned room. Unit OK but a bit "tired" and in need of a makeover. Stayed remainder of time in a resort-owned "sea view" room which was very comfy, well appointed and recently renovated. Overall, the resort is a place that I can recommend for amenity, location and value. Sea view is much better.
