Outstanding!!! The best trip I have ever taken. Trilogy really does take care of it's guest!

I booked the Discover Lana'i excursion as part of our honeymoon. The great experience started off with a phone call form the trilogy office to make sure we went to the orrect departure point, since some peeople had gone to the wrong spot on the previous day. The person on the phone was very warm and friendly, and provided great directions to their parking area.

At the pier, the crew was great, and you could see they were happy to welcome all of us aboard. They went through great pains to make sure everyone was comfortable before leaving the pier. Almost as soon as we had cleared the harbor, they brought around fresh coffee and pineapple juice, along with heavenly cinnamon buns. What better way to start off the morning.

The trip to Lana'i was very pleasant, with the crew spending time getting to know people, and preparing us for what we were going to see and do in Lana'i. The snorkling was great! The tour of Lana'i was interesting as well. It's a very quiet and peaceful spot.

After the town tour, lunch was served by the crew. Great barbequed chicken and lots of other goodies.

On the return segment, we made an attempt at getting under sail, but the wind did not co-operate. While we motored back to Lahaina, the crew served ice cream sundaes to everyone.

This trip set the bar against which we measured the entire vacation. I was so impressed witht he great service, that I booked a second trip with them two days later, to go scuba diving.

All in all, a wonderful experience. I highly recommend it.

We were also on the sunset trip to Lanai on Oct. 3, in fact we sat next the couple in the previous review. This really was a terrific trip. They fed us 5 times, had all the gear ready to go after our land tour of Lanai City. Our tour van driver, Briget (the only Briget on the island) was very funny and made the tour interesting.

Major props to Captain Owen and the crew, they were very professional and really worked hard to make sure we all were having a good time.

This really is a must for any trip to Maui.

We went on the sunset cruise to Lanai on 10/3/05 and had a great time.

You park in a lot near Lahaina harbor and have to pay $5 for parking. Not sure why they couldn't include that in the price and then you don't feel nickeled and dimed to death.

They take you out and start feeding you cinnamon rolls. Yum. You also get a nice deli cold cuts lunch on the way there.

You eventually get over to Lanai bay where you either payed $45 for the adventure cruise (looking for dolphins and turtles, riding hard through waves, and you can dive off a cliff) or you take a drive around the island on a tour bus. We went with the island drive (go to the bathroom on the boat before docking or you may not be able to sit with your spouse on the bus). It was nice and interesting although they leave you too long at the Trilogy store (and bathrooms).

Next, you are taken to the beach. We had never snorkeled before so got basic instruction and went out. Saw lots of colorful fish in the reef. It was great! And not very crowded like we hear Molokai can be. (Don't know how this reef compares to others because we were rookies) Also walked over to the tidal pools which were neat.

After that, they took us over to their pavillion where we were fed well. They also pointed out a table of anti-sea sick medicine (could not give us pills directly for legal reasons). The ride back was fun as we went through choppy waters. The people on the black tarp had the most fun as they were bounced around. Everyone was sprayed with water. We also did a little sailing on the catermeran but it wasn't windy enough to do much. Also were fed little ice cream sundaes in cups. Yum!

Also, one of my flip flops fell apart and Captain Owen got out his sailor's needles and repaired it. That is an example of the kind of people who run this cruise.

We would definitely take another cruise with Trilogy again!

Our family went on a snorkel trip to Honoloa Bay on Sept. 24, 2005. It was the highlight of our vacation. The service was outstanding and the food was unbelieveably delicious. Fresh, warm homemade cinnamon rolls!!!! Need I say more. We have been on other snorkel trips in Maui and this was the best. We never had to ask for a thing. The snorkel equipment as well as all of the food is delivered right to your seat. I really do not like the stand in line/buffet arrangement we had on other trips. If you are not first in line you get the dregs. There was nothing like that, the entire time we felt like it was our personal snorkel trip. My husband and son scuba dive, which they did, and when their dive was finished the dive master helped them remove all of their heavy equipment and drag it on the boat, my husband said that in its self was worth whatever the trip cost. The crew were very friendly and welcoming. We will be returning to Maui next year and a snorkel trip with Trilogy is on the top of our list of things to do. Thank you for a truly wonderful memory.
