reasonable prices and wide selection --- we got sandwiches to go and ate them at the Punalau Beach and they were tasty and vefry convenient...store also had all kinds of fruit, snacks, drinks, and sweets to get too....very good place to stop and pick up lunch before heading north

“Mostly great food, watch out for the oatmeal...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

Friends introduced us to this place, and we loved the selections of traditional and island foods. Prices are very good when you are feeding a bunch, and eating out on the porch at picnic tables is a fun way to start the day. Our only negative was a bad run-in with oatmeal. What I thought was cinnamon in the oatmeal was burned chunks, and it was cold. The woman at the counter said she thought it was cold when she sold it to us. Really? An unusual experience, I'm sure, as the rest of our food was fine. Also a great place for buying souvenirs.

“Wonderful food!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2013

We plan our meals around what Chevelle, the Chef, has planned for the week. She has about three different local plate lunch specials each day. We couldn't cook them as good at home. We try to tell everybody we see about the place. The food is wonderful. The price is very good. It's very easy and close to get to. But most of all, the staff are so nice especially, "Chevy". Don't be affraid to NOT order your usual. Please try the plate lunches. You will be glad you did. Thanks for making our vacation so special!

“Good place to get stuff away from the Ritz”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2013

Nice place with souvenirs and small food items. It did have a funky smell there, but it wasn't horrible. The prices were somewhat reasonable for Maui. Everything is much more costly compared to any place on the mainland, so it was a welcome to pay less for some basic essentials. Would definitely shop here again if I have the opportunity.

“a bargain in Kapalua”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

We stopped here for both breakfast & lunch- great deli & hot food at very reasonable prices. French toast was excellent as was the fried mahi lunch. Take out or eat at picnic tables on the porch and watch golfers across the street! The store also has good bargains on Kapalua merchandise; not as good a selection as the pro shop up the street, but much easier on the wallet.
