“Cozy corner restaurant with yummy food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

My folks and I enjoyed breakfast here on our last morning on Maui. We split a yummy, warm cinnamon roll then moved on to Benedicts and belgian waffles. Service was friendly and fast, the coffee cups never had a chance to empty. If Lahaina is a cruise stop, consider skipping the dining room and having breakfast with the locals.

“Nothing Special”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2013

Our expecations were set high after talking to some regular patrons already seated. The place was not that busy, but we waited to be seated. When we got to our table, the slow service continued. We waited at least 1/2 hour for our food once the order was placed. Coffee was not great, or hot. The food order was incorrect when it did arrive and average at best. Serving sizes were ok, not generous. The positive - convenient location.

“Great find!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2013 via mobile

Relaxing setting tucked back off Front St. Great good and friendly service. Be prepared since it's cash or travelers checks only, but it's very reasonably priced. Sticky bun, Portuguese sausage breakfast plate and eggs Benedict were awesome!

“Decent Breakfast Food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2013

My husband and I traveled to Maui for our honeymoon this past July. Our first meal on the island was breakfast at the Sunrise Cafe. It was busy when we arrived, but we were seated almost right away. I ordered the vegetarian bagel and a glass of guava juice. My husband ordered the breakfast burrito stuffed with Portuguese sausage. The service was a little slow and we had to wait quite awhile for our check. Overall, a nice hole in the wall type of place.

“A table with a tree”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

Loved the seating areas with the trees growing through the floor and around the tables. Great place to meet locals and other travellers. Serving sizes are generous. Mexican dishes seemed tastier than others. I tried the eggs Benedict and while it was hearty the hollandaise seemed bland. But overall it is a great place to eat breakfast or lunch.
