I used to always include a stop at Hilo Hattie regardless of the island. The Lahaina branch is easy to find on Front Street further at the end.
They still offer the little shell necklace when you come in.
I used to find many food products including real Kona Coffee, many styles of Candies, Macadamia Nuts, and lots of tourist style knick knacks to take back home. The amount of offerings seems very reduced from the old days.
There are still tons of different Hawaiian clothing styles, different patterns in every color. The fabrics don't feel very nice; kind of rough and cheap feeling. Not a soft material like some of the more upscale shops featuring Hawaiian wear. The colors are a bit garish and patterns not that thrilling.
I was really disappointed and after about 10 minutes I left...never to return again.
