“Very good food, windows are open to outdoors & fresh air”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 20, 2013

Very good Italian food in a classy restaurant. A little overpriced. It is a reliable place for a good meal in tasteful surroundings.

“To Be Avoided”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

After a long day of travel, decided on dinner here as it was the closest/easiest thing to do. The server was wonderful - friendly server offered good conversation and prompt service. Portions are generous however the food is really just barely average. From the wine list to the bruschetta (house-made tomato bread was awful) down to the entrees. Chicken was tough and had an off flavor. Same for the stuffed pork chop. WAY overpriced for lousy food. Better meals can be had at any of the restaurants in nearby Whaler's Village. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

“go during their happy hour”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2013

Here is the deal,if you go between 5-5:30 THE Entrees are 50%off if you pay cash and an 18.5% tip is added to the bill on the full price. The discount doesn't apply to specials or priced of the day selections.

That said the food was good.they said the veal was scalapini but it was more cutlet.tomato mozzarella salad was great ,chicken was good pasta was good .

If you are staying in kanapaalli and want something casual that is italian this works. The place looks like a bennigans from the 80's

View of the golf course is great

“Still a great place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2013

We have been coming here for years and will continue to do so. It is not an elegant place but is quaint and scenic. The early bird specia is a goodea at 50% off(cash only). They formerly offered the same deal after 8PM but have done away with that. We stopped by to ask when Steven was working. The guy at the bar said, "Why, does he owe you money". Then he laughed. Steven is taking a vacation. We asked when he would return. He didn't know since he didn't tell them he was taking a vacation. He will be back this summer. He is also a time share salesman. A big Australian that acts more like an actor or friend than a server. Three of our 4 dinners were excellent. The veal was a little thich...some people like thick veal. Can be a little warm at sunset so we always eat later. Our waitress, from Argentina, offered a great personality to go with attentive service.

“Save Room for Dessert”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2013

Unless you like overpaying, arrive for the early meal when everything is half price. There are a lot of good choices here

. I am fond of the bruschetta with olive oil, basil and tomatoes, the fried green tomatoes, the roasted garlic bulbs on tomato basil bread, and more! They also have crab cakes with a bell pepper sauce and deep fried mozzarella and this is only the appetizers.

The salads are fantastic and can make a dinner alongside an appetizer and dessert. My favorites are the Basil Tomatoes House Salad (with some delicious maui onion in it), the Mediterranean tomato salad, the garden salad, and a wonderful Gorganzola.

I skip the entrees in favor of the appetizers, salads, and desserts but they have steak, chicken, and fish selections and quite a few pastas including a lasagna with beef and sausage. The flatbreads are tasty too.

Dessert heaven awaits you here. Think tiramisu, bananas foster, chocolate mousse cake, Italian cannoli done Hawaiian style, New York cheese cake topped with caramelized pears, and key lime calypso mousse. You might want to order more than one dessert and share them among your group.

The view is beautiful- it overlooks the golf course and you can see the ocean in the distance. Go early- your bill will be 50% off during special early evening hours . Good service and very large and generous portions.
