“Casual environment, quality experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013

Longhi's is located on the heavily trafficked street fronting the water in Lahaina. There are dozens of eateries along this stretch but Longhi's is distinquished by its fine dining menu in a casual atmosphere. The service is first rate but not formal - Diana was very attentive and friendly. The Italian menu is predictable but maintains an Hawaiian overtone. The food is excellent and the prices moderate. Avoid the temptation of the dozens of quick food venues and enjoying an excellent, relaxing meal at Longhi's.

“Yummy!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

We tried Longhi's for lunch today at it was yummy! I had the Black Angus burger and it literally melted in my mouth. My husband had the Philly cheese steak sandwich and said there wasn't as much meat as he usually has, but the meat was very tender. We split an order of homemade fries, not the frozen variety served by so many restaurants. We have been to Maui many times and have never tried Longhi's, but we are looking forward to another meal with them before we leave.

“very disappointed”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

The food was not as good as expected. Worst part is, they enforced 18% tips to just two of us. Their attitude was very disappointing.

“never disappointed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013

We just had our third meal of this trip to Maui at Longhi' s. We have been coming back to our
favorite restaurant on Maui since they opened in 1976. The location is one of the best on the island.
The food is always fresh, cooked to perfection, served nicely, and doesn't' t disappoint. The servers are always friendly and know the menu. After almost 40 years, the formula still works.
We were saddened to hear that Bob Longhi had passed on during the last year, and we hope his family carries on his legacy. Lobster Longhi is our favorite!!!

“Not What It Used To Be”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013 via mobile

We have dined at Longhi's each of the six times we have visited Maui since 1989. We would go out of our way to go there even when staying on the south shore. It is still a good place to get an Italian fix for those of us from NJ who cannot go away for two weeks without having some Italian food. The fettucine alfredo was very good, the other pastas average. Upstairs was closed on a Monday night, and downstairs seemed tired and sans the old vibe. The place felt a little tired and uninspired. Service was good. However, I had the feeling it had lost something, and just couldn't say "very good" at this point. More like average and living on its past laurels.
