Description: Right on the water and in the heart of historic Lahaina, Kimo’s brings you and your o’hana (Hawaiian for family) a casual, completely Maui dining experience. Renowned our “postcard” views of Lanai and Molokai, we offer a menu featuring fresh Hawaiian fish, prime rib, prime steaks and the original Hula Pie, Kimo’s has been a Maui must-do for over 30 years. The upstairs main dining room shows the architectural influence of New England on the former whaling port, with koa-lined walls, missionary-style furnishings and maritime memorabilia. After dinner, Kimo’s lanai becomes a very cool hotspot for tropical cocktails and Hawaiian music. Live entertainment is offered on weekends and select week nights.

“Nothing Beats Kimo's in Lahaina”

Once again, on this trip we visited our fave Lahaina house of aloha. The macadamia crusted Mahi Mahi was outstanding, as were the ribs, shrimp and virtually everything we ate both times we went, on this trip. Their Mai Tai's are perfect, the view can't be beat, and the service is incomparable (the manager has been there for years, the consummate host who lives and breathes island lifestyle and hopitality. Plus, they book "da kine" local island musicians that can make your afternoon sunset complete. You'll soon be dreaming of your return to Kimo's.

“Food/Location Good- Lousy Service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2011

Great location, and if you go around sunset you get a great view- (ask for a seaside table- you might have to wait, but it's the best part about this place) Our server forgot our appetizers (we mentioned it when he brought our salads which was about 20 minutes after we ordered...too long) then we waited about 30 minutes or so for our main course. While the food was good- you are no doubt paying for the location-and Kimo's knows it and doesn't care. No apologies from server on the delay- I really don't think they care because they do such good business. For the price, not worth it- save your $ and go to Mama's Fish House!

“Good normal food; have the hula pie.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2011

I had a cheeseburger. It was pretty good and the fries were great. My wife had fish and chips made with magi magi. She loved it and the fries. But, the best was the hula pie made with Oreo crust, ice cream, and chocolate sauce. The prices were reasonable for Hawaii, and the view of the ocean and other islands was great.

I have been here 11 times in my trips over the years. It is just a good place to eat with a great view. Plain and simple.

“Good fish, good value, great view downstairs”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2011

Went to Kimo's on a Friday night after getting a 6:45 pm reservation the same afternoon. Had a couple of tropical drinks at a table in the bar area and watched the sun set over Lanai. Table upstairs did not have as nice a view as the bar and was warmer and more confined due to the roof. Probably a better location if a shower comes up.
We both ordered opakapaka and it was perfect!. Price includes a Caesar salad and vegetable side, so at $34 it's a pretty good value for Front Street.
