The best thing Fleetwood’s has going for them is the physical atmosphere, the dining area is nice and roof top lounge is pretty cool. It’s all downhill from there. My first impression was at the hostess desk on the second floor. Two employees were standing behind the desk, oblivious to my party of four standing there. They were so deep in conversation. We stood there for a few minutes before, I said, “excuse me, are you guys open?” It was about 4:45pm, and the restaurant was empty. I received a curt, “Yes.” for an answer, and they went back to their conversation! I then asked, “Do we seat ourselves?” They stopped long enough to say no, and went back to their conversation. Rude! We had wanted to eat dinner there. We never got help; we walked upstairs to the roof top lounge, and sat ourselves.
The server was nice, but forgot what we ordered. And she came back to verify the order. We finally got some of it. Chip and guacamole was sparse, I would say ¼ cup guacamole. The calamari was ok, and fries no big deal. Service was slow and we never got our flatbread. There was a cheesy, touristy torch lighting ceremony, if tourists think that’s what Hawaiian culture is about… it’s not. We finally got our check and left. First and last time. There are way better places in Lahaina to spend your hard earned money, and not be treated rudely or have terrible service, and not so great food.
