“Always one of my favorites!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

I have been enjoying Saigon Seafood in Lahaina for the past four years with weekly visits with friends. Prices are easy on the wallet and the food is very consistent. Service is not legendary by any means, but it is pretty much a one man show in the front with the owner in the kitchen. Don't expect fine dining!!! I always have a selection of four to five dishes when I go starting with the crispy spring rolls, green papaya salad, pork or rice clay pot, steamed ung choi, beef with broccoli and a few other tasty dishes! I suggest you give them a try and if you don't have high expectations but go for the food you will be pleasantly surprised! I find that this is the kind of place that other chefs go for ethnic food in Lahaina!

“Excellent flavorful Vietnamese”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2013 via mobile

This place is an authentic hole-in-the-wall with excellent food. The flavors were bright and fresh. I loved the Buddha role and veggie vermillion noodle bowl. The atmosphere is unapologetically basic- complete with a tv in the corner- so don't expect elegance! Delicious and affordable, definitely worth a stop.

“Simply awesome”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2013 via mobile

Saigon Seafood wasn't anything special when we walked in the door. Plain tables and chairs, generic oriental style art on the walls, but this place really stood out when it came to the food. It was such an extensive menu that all four in my group had trouble deciding what we should order. There are TONS of vegetarian options, which made the veggies in our group happy. The general consensus on the food was 5/5. Delicious. If I lived on Maui I would definitely frequent this place.

“Frankly, I Don't Know What The Fuss is About”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

Been to the Saigon Cafe on two occasions but I won't be back. The food is just average and the service is ok but when the server tries to make a joke and you can't understand him... Somewhat uncomfortable. Hard to figure out the menu. Average Denny's style booths.

“Really good food and service just off Front Street”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013 via mobile

Been here a couple times, food freshly prepared, tasty, attentive service. Typical of a Vietnamese style restaurant, this is a casual eatery, no frills, reasonable prices. If you're frustrated with long waits on Front Street, this is only a block away, across from McDonalds. Often, the place is quiet until one or tables arrive, then people start to pour in.
