This was our second time on Maui, and our first staying at the Aina Nalu. We rented J102 direct from the owner, who was very easy to deal with. The 2BD/2BA was everything we anticipated and more. The condo was exactly as the owner Howard pictured on Howeaway. It was very clean and has all the amenities you need. The resort is located just a very short walk to Front Street, where you will find many great restaurants, shops and bars. It is easy access and walking distance to the beach. The resort pools are clean, and very relaxing. On-site activity agents are very helpful in planning and booking any day excursions you wish to take. We highly recommend the Pi'iholo Ranch Zipline, drive up to Hana and Haleakala, and Pride of Maui snorkel trip. We will definitely be back to Maui and will rent this condo again.

We visited maui 15 years ago and spent the whole time in Kihei and this time wanted to spend a little time in Lahaina. We wanted a condo as we came as a family of four and like a little more space including a full kitchen for storing food etc. so we aren't eating out all of the time. This seemed to be one of the few places that had what we were looking for. It is not cheap at this time of the year but it certainly delievered what we were looking for. We asked for a ground floor near the pool and it was well decorated (some furniture a little warn), modern and clean. We had a complaint about our shower and they responded immediately. All in all a good experience and it was close to everything in Lahaina.

This place is a great place to stay if you don't want to drive around Lahaina. It's location is perfect, just 2 streets off Front Street and the Banyan Tree with the grocery store just a 3min walk. The units are a comfortable and spacious - a basic condo, with a full kitchen, laundry, living, bar, sleeping areas. The main pool is the best place to relax, next to no one uses it and it's very quiet. Parking is not free, you can park on the street, but beware - local theft is abundant. last time we came, we actually took the local bus here from the airport - less than $10 for 2. If youneed to rent a car for an excursion, plenty of rent-a-car places close. The full kitchen can save you some serious money. Eateries are abundant around here, not cheap but reasonable.

After staying lots of times at the big resorts in Kaanapali, we decided to give this condo-type property a try instead. We were very pleased. The 2 bedrooms were comfortable, the kitchen was well enough equipped for "vacation" cooking (quick and easy!), and the living-room area was sufficient for the four of us to kick back and relax. The big pool is perfect for a cooling swim at the end of the day, and not too busy during the times we used it. They could use a couple more barbecue areas - we had to wait for these on two occasions - but overall it was a very pleasant experience. We'll be back!
