“Great Vacation Spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013

We just returned from Hawaii, beginning at the Marriott in Waikiki Beach (awesome) and came here with my husbands company for a Presidents Club reward trip. Everything was very well done. If you go, take the catamaran named Trilogy with Carrie and Bailey, they go over and above their responsibilities, fantastic crew! Luau was great, all the services were wonderful!

Room Tip: Ask for a room close to the beach or you will get put into a room behind the hotel, 3 elevators to g...

Set amongst gorgeous grounds. An awesome pool and great snorkelling with turtles right off the beach. Poor service brings the hotel and experience down. We were visiting from Australia for our honeymoon and were given two double singles (separate beds!) and a bottom floor apartment which meant we could never have the curtains open (as everyone can see in). Room service finished at 10.30pm and there was no drink service by the pool (you had to go up to the bar each time...wait for your drink to be made, and carry them back to your seating area). Make sure you make a booking for dinner because even if the restaurant is empty, if you haven't booked you need to wait 40 minutes. WT? Service desk was useless and not the least bit friendly. Go for the grounds but not the service.

This was my first experience of Maui and the Sheraton made it a great one. I'm pretty sure we got an upgrade because to a partial ocean view which we were happy with. We didn't eat at the restaurants they have to offer at the hotel so I can't comment on that. I took advantage of a deal on bookit.com to get the hotel cheaper if I purchased my airfares aswell. Id love to stay here again. The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean and reasonably sized. I personally couldn't have asked for more. Its walking distance to whalers and plenty of golf courses around if thats what you are into. I'd recommend staying here for families and singles. The pool was excellent and very clean and they had activities like table tennis and other games on the grass not far from the pool. - I thought that was the best part about it. I stayed here and in Wailea and preferred it down the sheraton end.

This is a old, dirty hotel in a great location. VERY over-priced for what it is. I made a reservation for a room with a king bed for a few days during our honeymoon. When we checked in (right on time), we were told all they had were rooms with 2 double beds. Completely unacceptable and the staff was not helpful until we made a stink. Lame, old and in desperate need of updating.

This hotel is located at the end of beautiful Ka'anapali Beach. Snorkeling is available right off the beach at Black Rock. Turtles were sighted almost everyday. We had a lovely ocean view room (4507) overlooking the beach and the island of Lanai in the distance. Very convenient to the beach. We used the self parking located behind building #3 which was closer to our room. The staff was very helpful & friendly. A shuttle to Lahina is available every hour throughout the day and evening. Plus there is a walking path to shopping and dining at Whaler's Village. A beautiful hotel in an excellent location.

Room Tip: Rooms that end in "09" in building 4 have a larger end balcony.

We visited the Sheraton Maui on our honeymoon in April. We decided to upgrade our room upon arriving, and were given a good deal on the Deluxe Ocean Front Suite (room 6402) overlooking the Kaanapali Beach strip, the neighboring islands, and Black Rock. The view was absolutely once in a lifetime. Most of the staff was very helpful, especially the valets and bellhops. The pool was perfect for a Maui vacation, and great for couples because there wasn't all that many kids running around. The poolside waitress Erin was very nice and helpful too. We did have to walk quite a ways to make it down to the lobby and/or pool and beach area because of our building location and the hotel's layout, but our view made everything worth it. My only complaint is that Building 6 is older and is showing its age in certain aspects. The furniture and decor is all new, but the tiling and bathroom fixtures, especially the shower and tub area, could certainly do with a renovation. Would highly recommend this hotel though.

After the hustle and bustle of Honolulu - we just loved this Resort - in the BEST location on the island. They wanted to upgrade us on check-in to Ocean front - but I had researched it in depth and preferred the location of the Deluxe Ocean view (very quiet with great views of Black Rock). This Resort had everything imaginable and the best Beach of all (which we swam with the turtles daily). Breakfast is best purchased with your accommodation as it is so much cheaper - and very nice food. We managed to go through until dinner every night without having lunch. The beds were so comfortable it was sleeping in a mother's arms. The Whaler Village is a short beach walk for some great shopping and restaurants - or a short Shuttle trip into the town of Laihaina. We didn't venture very far from the Resort at all - and dined each night at different restaurants in the Whaler Village for a change of atmosphere as we ate breakfast each day at the Resort. I highly recommend Leilani's (food and entertainment GREAT). Sunset Luau at Sheraton was great - food was YUM ! The Pool was amazing, but we spent our time swimming at Black Rock. MAHALO SHERATON MAUI :)

Room Tip: Research the room location you want to be in on their website map and remember Ocean Front and Delux...
