We just got back from our honeymoon at the Ritz in Maui. It exceeded our expectations. We stayed on the Club level. This is the way to go! The food was wonderful and amazing! The drinks were wonderful. Our first morning we were offered a momosa to celebrate our honeymoon, which is included. The rooms are beautiful! We could see awesome mountain views to our right and the ocean to our left. They were always cleaned well. Our coffee pot and shower doors were always cleaned. It is farther away from the action, but we loved this aspect. Just depends on what you are seeking. Kapalua is the most beautiful part of the island. Our only dissapointment was the Banyon Tree. It's a beautiful restuarant, but the food is not worth the price. My husband hates seafood; so he ordered his favorite meal, a filet. He was highly unimpressed. I ordered the fish which I did like. The local beer is wonderful if you like good beer (we're not a bud light, etc. fan). Everyone greeted you with Aloha and made you feel at home. The service in the Club level was amazing! They know you by name, wait on you hand and foot, have great restaurant and activity suggestions, and are extremely sweet. We were spoiled! It was a luxerious honeymoon we will never forget and we are looking forward to our next stay.

We usually stay at the Kea Lani but after reading recent reviews we decided to try the newly redone Ritz Carlton. It was stunning. The rooms are now in a Tommy Bahama style and make sure that you try and get room 2647, it has the best view. The beach there is realy beautiful and hardly any people. There is a great casual restauarant on the beach and there is an incredible restaurant called the Banyan Tree. It was so good that we actually bought the chef a drink. If you are looking for low key, this is the place. If you have kids, they may prefer the Grand Wailea with the slides. Beware, this place is expensive. If you like martinis they were $17.00 made with the good gin. The best Mai Tai's that I have ever had. While there make a reservation at the Plantation House for sunset plus the food was exceptional. Dinner at The Lahainna Grill is also a must. The only recommendation I would make to the Ritz is to have more tiki torches (I love those at night)

We spent five nights here in late February and early March, and the place is fabulous. Yes, it's expensive and the beach, while fine once you get there, requires a long walk or a cart ride, which they readily provide. Also, the hotel is further from other island attractions locations than other hotels. But pool area is wonderful and the hotel is quiet, gracious, classy, and relaxing. We had one problem, the in-room safe didn't work at first, but they quickly fixed it.

What can I say..... everything is better when it sits on the a Ritz"...
The site is gorgegous... and renovations stunning. The staff was not only personable but accomodating. At first , we were given a room which was very close to the new construction of the spa...... being concerned about construction noise we asked for another room. We thought it would be a problem and that we wouldn't get an satsification because we had used our points to fund our stay ..however.... the Ritz was more than accomodating, even considering they were at capacity-- we were reassigned a room with a parital ocean view over looking the pool. we couldn't have asked for more. All staff members attended to our needs.... the concerige desk could have been a bit more informed......
We ate on the Ritz property several times..... all was good ... but nothing exceptional..... our last night we decided to have a special dinner evening at the Banyan Tree.... what a disappointment..... very over priced not only for the quantity of food... but also the quality..... very bland taste... not worth the expense.. we had a better meal at The Plantation House.... or Pineapple . The general store is a great asset. My suggestion woul dbe to head there for breakfast or lunch-- reasonable and good food. You'll love this Ritz.... enjoy!!!.

Its the Ritz-Carlton in Maui, need I say more? Amazing guest service staff anticpated my every needs. I used to work for the Ritz-Carlton company so I knew what to expect. Each time they greated me by my name which to me goes along way. I even recieved a complentray upgrade to the Club Level, 3 meal presentations per day and open bar.

The hotel, wow words dont describe how you feel when walking around this propety. I lived in Maui for a year and know what I wanted the hotel to be and it went above and beyond. The pool, was spectaular, So huge, lots of room and a great vibe with guest, and a few locals that sneak in.. shh...

And the best part Honolua Bay is right down the road for the serious surfers!!!
