“Great place to get married and honeymoon!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2013

We chose Napili Kai purely based on their website and reviews and we were NOT disappointed! The resort seems secluded and private even though it's minutes away from busier parts of Maui such as Kaanapali and Laihina. We had our wedding on Lani Point at the resort and it was a fabulous venue. The food at the resort's restaurant, the Seahouse, is excellent, but if you want to try other restaurants nearby, there are many to choose from. The Seahouse has happy hour every day with Pupus (appetizers) that are out of this world! The grounds, the pools, the gardens are so clean and well cared for. The scenery from your lanai is amazing...with views of the islands of Lana'i and Molokai! The staff, many of whom have worked there for years and years, are very friendly, caring and helpful. We would definitely recommend this resort to anyone who is looking for a great place to relax and enjoy the beauty of Maui.

Room Tip: We stayed in Lani II on first floor. Even though no a/c.....which we initially worried about...there...

This was the first time we stayed at Napili Kai. The location was great. Right on the beach, next to some of the best snorkeling! I was snorkeling right on this beach, not to far from the shore and found myself swimming right next to a turtle. The room was nice enough, the front desk gal who checked us in was very friendly! This resort has a few pools - none were overcrowded. What we liked most about this resort was that it was quiet not too full of tourists and the location. Also, parking was free - no resort fees. The only negative comment I have is that the wifi was very sketchy.

While we would like to recommend this resort to everyone we know, we won't. The location was great, however the management wasn't flexible or understanding. Due to mechanical issues our plane was experiencing, our flight was cancelled so we did not arrive as planned. I worked with my travel provider who contacted the resort's management to request for a refund or some type of credit for the night we missed. They were not understanding or accommodating with the request.

We had a wonderful stay and wish we could have stayed longer. The location of this resort was perfect! Our room had a beautiful balcony and view. It had the convenience of a kitchenette which was fully stocked. We loved going to sleep at night listening to the ocean waves. The beach area and the grounds were immaculate. The Sea House restaurant is excellent. Everything about this place was perfection. If you enjoy your privacy and a low-key atmosphere this is the place!

This was our first trip to Maui, and, wow, the Napili Kai Beach Resort was great! If you want the hustle & bustle of Lahaina, stay elsewhere. But if you want a relaxing Hawaiian resort, stay at the Napili Kai. It's location is close enough (driving distance) to the shopping, etc. but far enough away for some peace and tranquility. The staff and accommodations are wonderful. We were upgraded to a studio ocean-view room, Aloha room 93, and it was sublime (2nd floor corner unit, quiet, comfy bed, well-equipped kitchenette, A/C, phenomenal views). The room looked recently renovated. I spent many mornings out on our private lanai, listening to the ocean, reading, and sipping coffee. We ate many meals at the Sea House Restaurant. The food was always good and the service was friendly. The price was comparable to other nearby restaurants. Yes, the service was sometimes slow, but, hey, you're on vacation; slow down and enjoy your meal, have a cocktail...you're in Hawaii! The resort's beach was fantastic! No need to go anywhere else. It was never too crowded and the snorkeling was awesome! Plus, snorkeling equipment, towels, etc. were included. No nickel & diming for everything like other big resorts. If you didn't want to, you really never had to leave the resort. I wish we could've stayed longer. I hope to return soon...

Room Tip: Get an ocean-view room--well worth the money! The sunsets are amazing!!!

We will definitely come back! Everything was fantastic. We stayed in a studio right on the sand so it was absolute paradise. The restaurant wasn't our favorite, pricey and not very good. But there are plenty of other options nearby! Stay here!!!

We LOVE the Napili Kai Beach Resort, celebrating its 50 year anniversary this year!

Its location, attentive staff, fine accommodation, fabulous beach...& on & on make for the best kind of holiday.

In spacious & beautiful corner Room 221 (PunaII) we enjoyed the quiet, privacy & full ocean view. We like walking the little coastal pathway over to the beach( often seeing turtles on the way) or to play shuffle board or drink lemonade at the activity tent...or putt!

This resort is a perfect choice for any purpose from a couples get-a-way, to a family reunion...or a wedding & more...

It was difficult to leave...

Room Tip: Every room is a great one here...but we think the the ocean view rooms are just perfect!

We loved this hotel. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are large (we were in Keaka IV room 144) and the beach is perfect. The SeaHouse restaurant is AMAZING and is a must try! We were extremely pleased with the staff: upon check-in we were greeted at the front desk with "welcome home" and since we were celebrating our anniversary there was a bottle of wonderful champagne waiting for us in the room. The ONLY downside is that the beach is so nice that people from other resorts come down to our hotel to use the beach so it can get quite crowded. After coming from Waikiki where everything costs extra it was very nice to have free beach chairs and beach activity equipment. We will definitely be back!!!

Room Tip: We loved room 144 in Keaka IV. It was very quiet and had a partial ocean view. Stay away from room...
