A wonderful hotel. it is for sure one of the better hotels on Maui. It is close to every thing in Lahaina. the ocean views are superb. The Swan Court is a great restaurant. The rooms are nice and very comfortable. Staff is very helpfull.

Room Tip: Be sure to get a ocean view room.

Arriving Maui in a heavy rain storm and then driving to the Hyatt Recency in Lahaina, it was nice to be greeted by a friendly and courteous staff. From the valet through check-in, we felt very comfortable. Special thank you to Danika who took care of our questions and followed up the following day. Customer service is certainly alive here IATA the Hyatt Regency Maui.

Room Tip: Until construction is completed in January 2014, suggest getting a room away from that area.

Construction is a problem currently on the new timeshare. Pool is very deep and hard to get in and out of unless you make the trek to the kiddie pool and navigate through waterfalls to the adult area. You will be swimming there because it is too deep to stand. Our room had a nice view and Jennifer was kind enough to upgrade us to a deluxe ocean front. The down side was that the room is infested with little ants. They seem to come out from the cracks in calking around bathroom sink and adjacent vanity. Refrigerator is very small and will not cool drinks below 50 degrees so don't put milk in there. We had the buffet breakfast every morning and Ester our server was wonderful. Breakfast was ok and did include coffee and OJ for $25 per person. Parking is extra as is the resort fee of $30 daily. I spent $250 for 2 nights and my room was free thanks to the Hyatt credit card promo. Left for the Marriott for another 8 nights since the Hyatt doesn't offer a government or military rate. This really bothers me that they don't seem to care about the vets who are paying the ultimate sacrifice so the Hyatt can make money in a country protected by those they don't seem to care about. Not true of the Marriott and Sheraton. They get my business because they care about vets and their families.

If I could find a property on Kaanapali that cared about vets, included breakfast, and didn't add to the rate with $15 parking and a $30 resort fee they would have my business. Honesty and patriotism is hard to find in corporate america some times. Anyway, the stay was OK. But, will not return unless they start appreciating the sacrifices of our men and women in uniform. Shame on them.

We attended the Hyatt Regency Luau "Drums of the Pacific"on Jan 30th. The performance itself was good, with graceful dancers and interesting theme.
The seating arrangements were far from satisfactory, and the woman in charge of the seating was downright rude. We have never encountered such bad behaviour from any place we have been to.
It left a sad imprint on our otherwise perfect holiday in Maui.
We think the Hyatt should make sure that its employees do not treat guests as shabbily as we were.
Yes Miss Mai. I am looking at you.

Stayed here just one night so that our kids could use the pool, I could visit the spa and we could have the buffet. Beautiful property! Amazing service! Staff was exceptional at every encounter! The pool area got a little funky at sunset, as some rowdier guests brought thier own alcoholic beverages in bags and coolers and partied loudly amongst the kids. Not sure if that is normal or not, but it caused us to leave a bit sooner than we wanted to.

We had to stay an extra day in Maui due to flights, so we booked a night at the Hyatt Regency Maui. There is construction going on adjacent to the hotel right now, but it really isn't a huge distraction. The hotel location and the property amenities were great! We had a king size bed on the 7th floor with an ocean view. The room was clean and decently furnished, however it felt small and the bathroom was a bit awkward. The only way I would probably choose this hotel for an extended stay is if I planned on spending as little time as possible in my room. Overall, great location, beautiful building and property amenities and a friendly accommodating staff. I highly recommend the luau it was the highlight of our Hyatt Maui stay. Side note- I found the self parking to be inconvenient, next time i would just pay the upcharge for valet.
