Played on this course with a client. This is an average course, nothing special. The green wasn't expensive so I guess it's expected. We had to call the drink cart just to get a drink. Staff are friendly.
The course was very basic. The views were so-so. No water in the carts. We saw the beverage cart twice all day. The rental clubs were bad and the bag was disgusting. You are only paying to golf in west maui, nothing else. Very over-priced. Disappointed.
Kaanapali courses are very good golf courses, that play fairly. Conditions were good and the greens are difficult. They don't have the dramatic views and elevation changes of The Kapalua courses, but are priced accordingly
Played the Kai course. I rented clubs that had seen better days. Took a while to get used to them but by the back nine, things were moving along nicely. The course is an interior setting runs through a community, hotels and open areas. Got paired up with a local that was very friendly and made the outing that much more enjoyable.
Very disappointing. We were charged 500 dollars. The couple they put us with (did not tell us we would be a foursome ahead) paid 164. We could not get a drink until about an hour and half into play. No complimentary water. Staff seemed inconvenienced by our presence.
We played royal and were accompanied by david havens a pga pro. He was extremely helpful and i would suggest the experience to anyone he is a great guy and understands the golf swing nechanics without tearing your swing apart
