“Quaint Spot with Stunning Views”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2008

If you like places off the beaten path then the Ali'i Kula Lavender Farm will be a pleasing stop. If you are heading upcountry in Maui then stop by this quaint farm to see all the lavender growing and pick up some great products from the gift store. The gardens are lovely to walk through and the views down are amazing.

“Ali'i Kula Lavender Maui - we loved it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2008

This place is absolutely ethereal - we thought we'd drop in on our drive around up country and ended up staying almost two hours. It is better than most botanical gardens I've paid to see - and this is was blissfully free. There are many beautiful, unique plants, and the design of the plots is down right artistic. My boyfriend, in his most blissful moment of his vacation, decided this was where his ashes should be spread when he dies (yes, an unusual thought, but he was just that taken). There are many benches, chairs, and shaded spots to sit and relax, take in the expansive view (you can see most of Maui west of Kula including both South and North coasts), breath the fresh scented air, and watch the clouds touch the land around you. I don't know how this place affords it's surroundings, but I give many many thanks to the owner(s) and staff that keeps this place magical and open to the public.

“Neat side trip!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2007

We stay at Lahaina and planned our trip to the Ali'i Kula Lavender Farm to include a stop for lunch at the Kula Lodge Restaurant (for the gorgeous views) and the Surfing Goat Dairy...all close by.

There are guided tours for the farm, but we have always wandered around by ourselves and taken numerous pictures and visited the gift shop. Entry is free, but you can book tours. See their website. The drive in Kula during May is wonderful. The Jacaranda trees are in full bloom, and they were more so this year. Probably because of the rain, from what I'm told. Getting there is a lot easier with a GPS...........

Enjoy the pictures.

“Alii Lavender Farm”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 21, 2006

Beautiful landscaping, a lovely walk through some very pretty grounds...they offer tours which are pricey. Nice gift shop although pricey. Stop for some mango lavender sherbert or some lavender tea and lavender scones as a treat. A nice stop while in upcountry. Kind of chick-ish though, my husband did not appreciate it as much as my mom would have...
