“Definitely We Will Be Back!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2012

Could not say enough things nice about the Aston Maui Hill. Simply a very enjoyable vacation. Of our three trips to the Hawaiian Islands, I have to say that this was the best.
The accomodations were fabulous. A beautiful ocean view to Lanaii, a great lanai to rest on and a condo unit second to none. Bed was great. Nice breeze and great people. The staff was wonderful. We will be back in the not to distant future. Very short jaunt to any beach you want. We took our rent a car to Lahaina, Kappalua, Hana.

Room Tip: Ask for unit 1....best view in the place and a short step to the grill and the steps that lead to th...

“Loved the place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2012

We just got back from spending Christmas in Kihei. The Aston Maui Hills was a great place to stay. having been to Maui numerous times and staying at various places we all like this place the best. We were greeted by friendly staff at check in, it was neat to see our parties name on the welcome screen and to find a welcome fruit basket in our condo. Our friends were in the condo beside us which we had requested and were thrilled to find out that this request had been filled. Our lanais were facing the pool which was fine as it opened at 8:00am and closed at 9:30pm, so no problem with pool noise. The kitchen was very well stocked with cooking utensils and the unit was very clean. The staff was wonderful throughout our stay. More towels were promptly brought to us, taxi's were arranged and directions given when needed. It was a great location. The beach was across the road. If anything the only minor issue was having to walk back up the hill from the beach. It was fine for me as I am a walker, but a few grumbles from those who were not. We will be staying here again the next time we go to Maui.
If you want to spend a great day on the ocean and at the beach book the Lana'i day trip with Trilogy. This company is very customer oriented and we all had an awesome time with them. Book your trip with them on line to save some money, even if you are already in Maui.

“We loved our stay at the Aston Maui Hill!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2012

We recently stayed at the Aston Maui Hill (December 23rd to the 31st) with our three sons, ages 11, 9 and 4. The grounds were beautifully kept, with lots of local birds. We had a lovely 2nd floor garden view condo, with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a pull-out hide-a-bed.

There was a pool, tennis courts and putting green that kept our kids occupied. Our favourite beach was the Kamaole III Beach Park that was just to the left of the resort. We left early in the morning and were able to park in the public parking area, just before the Wailea sign. This was the best beach for swimming with the kids, as it has light waves in the morning and is not too deep at first. Our condo came equipped with beach chairs, an umbrella, boogie boards and snorkelling equipment.

We also took the drive to Hana but only went half-way which was fine with us. Stop to see the surfers at "Jaws" and have your picture taken with the Parrot Man on the road to Hana. We were covered in parrots and took lots of pictures. Also take a drive to Kapalua Beach, that is truly one of the most beautiful beaches we have visited and the start of the PGA tour. Take a walk on the boardwalk and watch the surfers.

The best luau for families was the Polynesia Village Luau in Kihei. It was very family orientated. The kids got to try coconut bowling, making leis, spear throwing, etc. The dinner was delicious, with Kahlua Pork and other specialities. They even had macaroni and cheese and hot dogs for the kids. The host of the show had us laughing so hard we were in tears. The Polynesian dancing was excellent, including the fire dancer.

We also took a Blue Hawaii helicopter ride around West Maui and Molokai which was the highlight of our trip. The scenary was spectacular and the pilot made us feel secure while providing a informative tour. Definitely recommended.

We ended our trip with a visit to Maui Ocean Centre were we had a great time looking at the interesting fish and other aquatic like up close. Wait for an interpeter to learn more at the various stops. We loved the Aston Maui Hill and Maui and hope to visit again soon!

“Over-the-top impressed!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 1, 2012

We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite on the beautiful property of Aston Maui Hill for around 10 days over Xmas 2011 and we couldn't have been more pleased by the services that we received. We were readily provided with a crib and a brand new comfy high chair for our toddler to use. When our DVD player stopped working, a technician promptly repaired it. The kind manager Dennis Costa loaned us all sorts of beach gear so that we didn't need to purchase any. On Christmas Eve, as a pleasant surprise, the resort arranged for Santa to visit the resort...in a helicopter, no less! The children got a nice visit with Mr Claus and were all given a little gift. In addition, the resort threw a poolside BBQ (with drinks to boot!) for the guests. A staff member delivered Xmas stockings full of candy to all of the children, another pleasant surprise. We had a late-night flight and really needed for our toddler to get his nap during the day, so we were allowed a very late check-out at no charge. The manager was extremely accommodating, and his kindness left a huge impression on us.
All of the guests at the resort, I'm sure, appreciated the cleanliness, the beautifully groomed grounds, and the exceptionally friendly staff that would smile, wave, and speak with us whenever we passed them. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you so much, Dennis and staff, for helping make this such a fantastic family trip.

“Some suites have outdated decor but...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2011

When we first arrived, it was clear that the resort was older. The decor of the reception area and our room was quite dated. Our suite had a lot of carpet and 'cutesy' Hawaiian finishings. That being said, it was ultra clean and well maintained. Each building had only 2 units each (one above one below) and we really felt like we had our own private and very large suite. We felt very comfortable and at home. There was a huge front balcony that extended from the living room to the master bedroom and there was a secondary balcony off the second room as well. Usually I steer clear of bottom floor suites as the patio area is not fenced and my toddler is a runner but the suite design at Aston Maui Hill was ideal for us. Each lower level unit is actually 3 or 4 ft above ground and the lanais all have railings. This allowed our kids to run around inside and on the balconies without them running off or disturbing anyone below us. On top of that, my husband was able to hoist his surf board every night onto the balcony instead of trekking it through the suite. The customer service was outstanding. They had a crib, highchair, and futon ready for us upon our arrival for our young children as well as a large basket full of fruit to welcome us. We were lucky to be there over the Christmas holidays and they also delivered a poinsetta to our room, left a stocking full of candies for us on Christmas Eve and hosted a Christmas Eve lunch party at which Santa arrived by helicopter! While drinks, food, and live music were overflowing, Santa was available for children to visit and each child was given a goody bag of treats as well. To top that all off, our flight out of Maui was not until 11 p.m. at night and the office staff easily arranged for us to have a 1 br suite until 7:30 that evening. That 1 br suite had been updated with granite countertops in kitchen, beautiful tile floors, and deluxe bathrooms. Ultimately, I would definitely go back to Aston Maui Hill. If outdated decor bugs you, I would request to be put into a remodelled suite (if that's possible)
