“Simply Lovely - our favorite!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2011

We simply love this place! We own a timeshare week here and also spent time in a resort unit. The staff is always very welcoming and helpful.
While Maui is well known for the busy Ka’anapali area, Kihei has a very comfortable neighborhood feel to it. It is on the dry side of the island. The resort is located at the southern end of Kihei, bordering on Wailea, in an upscale residential area. It is on a hill and some units have a distant view of the ocean. To your east is a nice view of the back of Haleakala and the mountain areas. The grounds are very well maintained with lots of flowers, trees and birds. There is an outdoor pool, poolside Ping-Pong table, barbecue grills, tennis court, shuffleboard, putting green, and whirlpool on site. The units are 1- 3 BRs, all with full kitchens and large lanais. The one and two BRs have 2 baths; the 3 BR has 3 baths. The Master BR has a king bed. The kitchens and baths were recently upgraded with stone floors, stone shower and bath enclosures and granite countertops. Other upgrades are in place for furnishings, flat screens, etc. There are steps to all units.
The resort is not beach front; but, the most beautiful beach –Keawakapu - is across the street. You could walk but we prefer to drive and park on the free public lots adjacent to the beach. Remember it will be an uphill walk to get back to your unit! There is a public lot next to the Days Inn and another off the Mana Kai condo parking lot. If you buy something (even a paper) from the little store – Zacks- located in the Mana Kai condos they will provide you the code for the restrooms located in the condo. The store also sells sandwiches, salads, drinks etc. The beachfront Wailea walkway is a short distance away and a great place to get in a morning/late afternoon walk.
Costco is located near the airport – note they don’t sell prepared meals as most other Costco’s do. There are lots of restaurants on Kihei Rd and in Wailea but a favorite of ours is Da Kitchen. It is a great place for good ‘local’ food - warning- very large servings - at a very reasonable price. There is another larger one in Kahalui. Best choice for grocery stores are Times Super Markets and Foodland, both located on Kihei Rd, north of the resort. Times sells plate lunches Wednesday and Friday afternoon – very tasty!
You will know you are in Hawaii when staying here! .

Booked this resort through AA Vacations using advantage miles and very happy we did. We booked a 2bd and 2bath condo which was overly spacious inside and out. The living room and dining area were extensive which provided plenty of room for all. Loved the layout of the property with only a few condos in each building. plenty of parking and bbq grills scattered throughout the property. The pool was nice, very quiet, I was pretty much the only one there. One thing to note, Kihei seemed to be quite cloudy compared to other parts of the island. Panaromic views of Molokini and the Pacific very nice. Overall this was a great find and so happy that we chose this resort for our Maui vacation. Also resort is the southern most one in Kihei so its a 2 min drive into Kihei and a 2 min drive to Wailea, very nice location.

Now this is a nice resort! Very spacious rooms. Wonderful staff. Good common areas with BBQs and a nice pool...pool will be renovated in October 2011...call first!
Lei making class was an absolute hoot! Mani and her daughter supplied fresh, fragrant plumeria and pua keni keni for our leis which we wore to dinner in the spirit of aloha!
Conciergw staff was very accomodating and knowledgeable and helped us with quite a few recommendations and reservations!
I look forward to staying again!

Room Tip: Groceries available at Safeway, Times and Foodland...Try the Kalbi shortribs from Times and grill...

This is my third year in row at the Maui Hill – loved it so much as always – the feeling there is very pleasant – the gardens & grounds are well kept – units are not supermodern but well kept and comfortable, staff is very friendly and room cleaning is usually done within the end of the morning, much faster than in other Aston properties, I’m sure you’ll love it.
Definitely will go back
This year I spent my vacations there with some friends of mine and they stayed in a larger units as they have a bigger family, first time visitors to Maui definitely will return and surely will stay again at the Maui Hill.
Compliments to the Manager Mr Dennis Costa and his crew always available to assist and cooperate.

We recently stayed at the ASTON Maui Hill, in an upstairs apartment with a "Romeo and Juliet" balconey overlooking an incredible view of the ocean. Really wished it were whale season! Everything was top-notch! We called for extra pillows which were delivered minutes later. The kitchen and bathrooms had custom-made granite countertops which looked great. Each of our in-room air conditioners worked flawlessly. A hot tub at the center of the property was the perfect place to unwind, and the swimming pool was heated in the evenings. Nicest working-staycation I've ever had!

Room Tip: Ask for upstairs apartments for the best views

Wonderful views, great room (110). Being a member of Shell Vacations, chose this timeshare as Shell doesn't have 1 on Maui. Lovely room, would have liked to have daily or every other day fresh towels and linens, not into washing towels every day, afterall this is my vacation. Would've liked to have trash removal every day or every other day, they do it only once a week. Didn't care for turning off the ceiling fans and air conditioning units every time you left room - very muggy when you return - afterall, it is Hawaii. Wonderful conceire, Donya, cheerful, fun, very informative - thanks Donya!!!

Room Tip: Let them know if it's something special in your life, anniversary, birthday.

Maui Hill has very pleasant rooms. They are surprisingly large & offer a full kitchen with washer & dryer. It is a beautiful property.
The service was average with one of our two wake up calls missed, given four pool towels for a seven night stay & not being able to check in before 4 PM.
