“Best Value in Kehei”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

Perfect location next door to your breakfast spot and sunset snack upscale restaurant. Its actually removed from the Kehei touristy stuff on the nicest part of the beach. Rooms are modest but very clean and well kept, staff are pleasant and helpful. Yes, the walls are a little thin. Access to the beach is very good. You can walk up the road to the main Kehei restaurants but Sarento's on the Beach does a great breakfast and should not be missed after a sunrise walk down to the point and back.
There are more luxurious hotels up the beach but this place succeeds provided us with a great home base at a great price for all our explorations on the west side of the island.

Room Tip: I think the second floor is nicer but that s just me.

Look, this is a Wailea beachfront hotel for $100/night, so do not expect a palace. However, if you seek a small, cozy, basic, safe room, you have found your place. Walls a bit thin, so background noise can be troublesome... but the place is spotless, staff are lovely, and location cannot be beaten!

Incredible location with basic small room. Great snorkeling in front of your door. Less expensive than hotels. No amenities-but being here who needs them. Can walk to 5 palms restaurant. Get 20 % discount on entrees at 5 palms restaurant.

Room Tip: get room 103 right on the beach. Restaurant behind but no problem

Have stayed here years ago because of the great location. Can't beat being on Keawakapu beach for morning or sunset strolls or water activities.
Had requestedfor a room in a quiet location and the they delivered.
Some misses: limited parking esp coming back in evening and wafer thin walls - you hear everything from your neighbors and yard attendants. Nonetheless I would entertain staying again at this location.

The staff was very helpful on the phone and at check in. Special mention of Jazz at the front desk who was engaged in giving great customer service.. The room was clean. The location to good beaches can't be beat. Its a simple, two story hotel, so if you plan to eat out- it's perfect.

After reading other reviews, I booked my three night stay through the hotel website. I have nothing but good things to report. The hotel is situated between a upscale resort to the north and a grouping of nice looking condos to the south. The hotel consists of 6 two story tall buildings situated in a direct line from the main street to the ocean/beach. Each two story building has about 16 rooms. My room (225) was on the upper floor of the center building, facing the ocean. The room was small, but more than adequate. It was clean and comfortable; the A/C, overhead fan, TV, iron and electrical outlets all worked. Bed and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom was a little tight, but again more than sufficent for one person. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful; beach towels, coffee and public computer could all be obtained in the lobby. The beach was great; clean and not crowded, and nice sand for at least a mile in either direction. The hotel has an outdoor shower to use before returning to your room. All things considered, this is a great little hotel and a very good value. I would return and recommend it to others.

Room Tip: My room -- 225 was pretty good.

This place is AWESOME for the amount that you pay for it. I was thinking it would be pretty run-down and not very comfotable, given the price during the Christmas season in Maui. However, I was very pleasantly surprised. The beds are extremely comfortable and the hotel is right on the beach--well there is a restaurant between the hotel and the beach that you can walk right through to get to the beach. I do agree with one of the other reviews about the leaf blower being really loud, but that is my only complaint. I would definitely stay here again, especially because you are on Maui, and you don't want to be spending much time in your hotel room anyway!
