“Better than most budget hotels on Maui”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2013

I stayed here one night while on business; trying to keep the lodging expenses down as Hawaii hotels are extremely expensive for a basic bed & bathroom. This is a Days Inn, so that should tell you it's nothing fancy. The standard room was small, very small. The portable a/c unit was so loud I had to turn it off to hear the TV and sleep. The bed was comfortable and it was a decent stay for a night. The property is right on the beach so that adds a few extra points. This is so much better than the Seaside and Maui Beach Hotel near the airport. I made the mistake of staying at those properties because of the airport proximity. Drive an extra 30 minutes and stay at the Days for the same price.

I was on Maui for meetings over two days and just wanted a decent, fairly inexpensive place to stay for 1 night. I found a good rate for a stay at this hotel and thought I scored a good deal as the hotel is in Kihei (which I like) and is right on the beach. The front desk staff were great; very friendly and helpful. The room was very small; good enough for 1 person staying for 1 night, but I think most would find it a bit small for 2 people (no way getting a 3rd person in there, at least not in the "standard, queen bed" room that I had). The bed was comfy (tempur-pedic mattress) and the room had a fridge, microwave and coffee maker, and had a good size flat screen TV. The floor is a tile floor and it appeared that my room hadn't been mopped well in a little while. I made the mistake of walking in my room barefoot and after just a little while, I noticed my feet were quite dirty and it had to be from the floor. The bathroom is adequate but the configuration makes it feel tight and awkward. Bathroom had a standing shower (no bath tub) but a bit small as well. The hotel really is right on the beach, so that was nice. Hotel provides free Wi-Fi. There is quite a bit of parking (free), but the stalls are quite small. In the evening when the lot is a bit full, you have to be very careful parking in between other cars, it's a tight squeeze. Overall, it was an ok stay. The best adjective for this hotel is "small". I didn't mind it for 1 night while on business. But if I was there for multiple days, on vacation, and staying with others, I probably would not like staying here ... but that's just me, when I'm on vacation, I don't need anything fancy, but do I prefer to stay somewhere that is at least as nice and comfy as my simple apartment, which this hotel was not. The room rate was good, but, as they say, you get what you pay for.

We chose this hotel, since the price was right and it was on the beach. Our tiny room was very clean, had a refrigerator, coffee maker, and a very comfortable bed. The walls seem very thin and we could here our neighbors until we cranked on the a/c which drowned out everything! We booked this place thinking it would be an inexpensive place to sleep after exploring Maui all day. But we found out that Keawakapu beach which borders the hotel, was really quite nice and found ourselves wanting to hang out there more than we had planned. We do wish they had a better lounge chair system. They have them all lock together in front of the restaurant which was kind of wierd, it would be nice if we could move them a little. Definitely a decent stay for the price!

We booked this accommodation after a lot of research and only 3 days before arrival in Kihei, a good choice. We were in room 127, small but serviceable and clean, has everything that we required for a 4 day stay. Reception staff were very pleasant and helpful with all enquiries we had, well set up laundry, close to a beautiful beach. Hotel next door (right next door, feels like the same hotel) hires out SUP's and Long boards, restaurant (Sorrento's) adjoining the Days inn is fantastic, reasonably priced with a full view of the ocean, islands and Molikini. Kehei is a couple of miles North, we walked it a few times but there is a bus stop right out the front of the Days Inn hotel. Would highly recommend the Days inn Hotel for value for money.

Basically, they allow ANYBODY to stay here, which brings an unhealthy atmosphere. ie. Drugs, sketchy drunks
Front desk, absolutely rude.
Motel on shark attack beach.
.... Ses pool for suckas. MRSA Pollution galore on one of the most beautiful beachs in the world.... SAD!
Pay attention., not cash.
Alo.... HA...............!

Thank you for your comment and were sorry for your frustrations. As you know all our beaches our public here and we take great pride in the cleanliness and condition – noted by thousands of happy guest and locals alike who frequent our safe and well maintained beach.
Yes we do require a credit card and while we will accept cash we do require a credit card in the possible yet rare case someone finds it necessary to remove one of our family members. Thank you again for your comments and we hope future stays will bring you more enjoyment.
