We met some really great people, the owner and staff were great, they answered our every need and request. They arranged tours and even paid for everyone at the resort to enjoy a Whale Watching Trip which was a Gay Pride event for February. I highly recomend the resort.

We had the most incredible time at Maui Sunseeker. Four weddings the weekend we were there and then 2 more before we departed. We had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful people that i am assured we will remain in contact with going forward. The facility is immaculate, the staff friendy and incredibly accommodating! We could not have imagined a better time in our rocking garden view room. Thank you Micheal and Robin and we will be back sooner than later.

We don't usually stay at gay resorts but thought we'd give it a shot. Glad we did. Staff were warm and friendly and helped arrange an early morning snorkel / sea turtle activity which was the highlight of our time in Maui. The room was clean and it was convenient to have the mini-kitchen. As others have noted, the bathroom is a bit spartan and reminded us of a college dorm room but the amenities more than made up for it. Next time we will stay longer here. Great location with gorgeous sunset views and close to a range of food options.

First I wish to thank the owner and staff for an enjoyable stay. At every turn the staff was supportive and either provided the needed request or answered questions in useful ways. We started our stay in a Std. Bedroom and migrated to a Full Suite with the arrival of another friend. The transition of rooms was handled effortlessly. Enjoyed the property and quests.
Kitchens were missing can openers, scissors, and the knives were very, very dull otherwise good.
The only situation that marred our stay was the room cleaners entered our suite prematurely w/o contacting us (9 to 9:30am) while one of us was being dropped off at the beach and removed our property from the kitchen including liquor. Checkout is at 11am and we did NOT surrender our keys so there was NO indication to them to behave in this manner. A soup we were giving to our neighbour and cooking supplies were lost (approx. $50.) Not sure of the disposition of our property, although some cooking oil was seen in the office. This is NOT GOOD!
A hats-off to the gentleman at the back desk in the office who was helpful beyond any expectations.
I will probably return but found the property expensive for the amenities. The greatest assets are the staff and the grounds decorations in my view.

My partner & I made plans to be married in Maui. The staff at Maui Sunseeker were great in helping to plan this most wonderful time in our lives. They made the activities for us. They were always there when we needed an answer--even before we left for Maui. The staff is truly wonderful and always ready to give helpful information about dining, events, travel on the island and finding gay friendly companies for us. The entire staff always had a smile on their faces. We had a junior suite with ocean views and waking to the sounds of crashing waves was spectacular. We made our reservations for next year before we even left for home.

Aloha Randy B
Love the time we got to spend with both of you and we are so honored that you chose to have your wedding here with us. As you point out, this is a most important time of your lives together and we are glad that we exceeded your expectations.
This is one of the advantages of choosing the Maui Sunseeker LGBT Resort for your wedding over a big resort that doesn't have the emotional connection, not just because we are LGBT but we are a boutique resort that truly cares for its guests.. We all talked about seeing the love and dedication on your faces and can't wait for the anniversary returns!!

Great effort in trying to make the best of average motel sized rooms, but there's no luxury here. Would not want to spend more than a couple of nights here as everything is cramped, including the parking. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The available beach chairs, coolers, umbrellas and snorkel gear are greatly appreciated. Being a straight couple was not an issue in the LGBT friendly resort, in fact we found all guests to be very friendly.

Room Tip: try not facing the road, which has ocean view, if you want peace and quiet

OK I never thought I would be appreciative of having the hotel called 'pimped up' but when you pair it with the words motel 8, (you gave us two extra points....mahalo. LOL) it becomes a compliment.
You raise a very good point as we try to have rooms that fit every budget from Standards to Junior Suites to Full Suites to Penthouse Suites. You stayed in a standard room which is what we recommend for short term stays or travelers on tighter budgets.
We have guests that stay for one night to guests that stay for a month. For the longer term stays and more amenities, we recommend the larger rooms with full kitchens in every junior suite and higher.
I'm also glad to hear that you enjoyed the stay with us, particularly as a straight couple. We try to balance the mix and manage the guests so that the hotel is truly welcoming to all.
I hope you will come back to stay with us again as I would love to meet you.
A hui ho!

Our experience was nice and hassle free! We enjoyed the room and it was just right for someone who snores and gave my Aunt the option of sleeping in the living room. We were very comfortable here and enjoyed the top unit!

Room Tip: The room was great, the maid service didn't really have to do much with us as we were gone most...

Aloha Kari R
A big mahalo for the great review and taking the time to write it. We know your time is valuable so we try to read and respond to every review that comes across. In fact, I read every review that comes across at morning stand up meetings.
So glad you enjoyed being in one of our full suites that has a Cal King Bed in the bedroom and a Queen Size Sleeper Sofa in the living room.
Just one request.....if you think you'll be awoken by the sound of a buzz saw from your spouse :) , please let us know in advance so we can be sure that the sleeper sofa is made up even on the first night.
We so look forward to your return to paradise!
A hui ho!
