“Not bad for the price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2013

Saw some negative things written about this course but played with some local friends and found the course to be pretty good. Played early so not too hot. Not as windy as some of the courses on the ocean. Some nice views. Course was in great shape. Maybe not as challenging or with the views as the ocean courses but for the price (less than $100 for a visitor), a comparable alternative.

“Really good golf at an excellent price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2013

And really windy if the trades are blowing! But well maintained, challenging enough for the rear tee players (especially with the winds), forgiving enough for the front tee players. But there are only two sets of tees - front and back. Just because it's not really long, doesn't mean it won't be challenging! A couple of ocean views, but it's pretty far away. $70 for two on Golfnow.com. If you need a break from the high prices everywhere else, try it. You'll be very pleasantly surprised. Pace of play was very good. Course staff friendly and helpful.

“Good Golf at a Great Price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2013

We played the Elleair GC last week during our first visit to Hawaii. The course was in great condition and was a bargain at the $44 rate we found on Golf Now. The course is fair for all levels of players. We had played the Pukalani GC earlier in the week and felt this course was in better condition and more centrally located. Plus, your second beer at the clubhouse was the equal to your score! Who doesn't have a second beer?

“Good Place To Play”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013

This is not a great course, it's about a notch above a good Municipal course. If you hope to catch breathtaking views of the Pacific.........this ain't it. The token operated Range Ball machine is a head scratcher and the cost for rental clubs is too high, but if you want bragging rights to playing golf in Maui without going broke, this is the place. The course is actually in pretty good shape. The guys in the clubhouse were friendly and the starter was a nice guy. I was impressed with the pace of play as the players ahead of us seemed to keep it moving. If you set up a tee time on the Internet with a different company, make sure you bring your vouchers. Fortunately, I had mine in my vehicle. If you don't have those vouchers, you are SOL. You can play much better courses on the Island, but you will pay out the wahzoo and the high priced courses I saw were not worth the price when you can play places like Pebble Beach for close to the same price.

“Lesser Known Course is worth Playing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2013

This lesser known course is definitely worth playing. Better priced then most of the courses on the island, The pro shop staff were very good, the course itself was in good shape, the pace of play was fantastic and only saw the foursomes in front or behind a few times. Played with locals both times and that really made the rounds fun. I will play again next time in Maui.
