“Best Food Find In Maui (Coming soon to Tempe,AZ)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

Friends told us about Coconuts in Kihei, so we had to check it out. Location, setup, service is Maui-style quirky, a couple levels above a food truck, but don't let that fool you. Coconuts makes the best fish tacos EVER. Fish chunks, slaw, mango chunks, et cetera, on a toasted double tortilla.
You've seen double stuff Oreos? Well, Coconuts serves double-stuffed fish tacos. One order of two tacos will work as lunch for two people. You'll down the taco then clean up with a fork and lots of napkins.. It's like having seconds.
The good news is they have a new location open in North Scottsdale, AZ, and the BETTER news is they will soon be opening one in Tempe, AZ, much closer to our home. (Yay!)

“Pleasantly Surprised”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

Coconut's was recommended to us from the Rep we dealt with at the Car Rental, so we were not sure what to expect. Boy were we pleasantly surprised. We went on Friday evening as there was a classic car show in the same parking lot. The Taco's are wonderful. They are very large, although they don't look it. They are made with two different types of fish, Ono and Ahi. The Coleslaw they put on top is made with Coconut milk instead of Mayonnaise, which is a little healthier. Then topped with a Mango Salsa. Total of 17 different ingredients. They suggest you eat with your hand, then use a fork to eat what fell out of while you were eating the taco. Have to agree. Very messy, but worth it. Get lots of napkins!!!! Have another week of our vacation and will be going back.

“Died and gone to heaven!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

Coconuts is everything you've heard or read. The owner greeted us on our first visit and went over the entire menu with us. We stopped on our way to our condo coming directly from the airport. They are fast and delicious and reasonably priced. Get the fish tacos or the blackened Mahi, the coleslaw is pretty awesome, too. We ate here several times because it's quick and healthy and really, really good. Can you please come to Kansas? and bring the fish with you?

“Absolutely The Best!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

Don't leave Maui without visiting this little place. We visited twice and were sad we could not fit in another visit. These are the best fish tacos in the world. Husband does not eat slaw but just inhaled the slaw on these tacos. Hint, you can bring your own beer or wine and they will open it for you. This place is small and very busy so be prepared. Really, one of the best meals we have ever had anywhere.

“If you like fish tacos, this is the PLACE!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

Friends of ours in Los Angeles, told us to visit this taco place when we got to Maui. We were so happy with our dishes (tacos, fish burgers, kids meals). The local fish tacos with the citrus sauce topping was so fresh! The fish is not greasy and the portions are excellent! The staff is really friendly too!
