I'm not one to complain, but I feel like something is amiss with this particular restaurant.
We had dinner here, just before going to the airport on the way home. Normal dinner time, 5 or 6 pm. The restaurant was quiet, but had a handful of customers. It's on a busy street in a strip mall.
The service was fine, the staff were friendly, but the restaurant had problems:
They didn't have any children's menus. No biggie, the waiter told us what was on the children's menu off the top of his head.
They handed out a special "Maui features" menu, and when I ordered the chicken burger the waiter politely told me they don't have that, and that no one ever orders it. In fact no one ever orders off that special Maui menu. OK, fine.
There salad my wife ordered was supposed to have berries, but they ran out of berries so they substituted pineapple. That's no big deal.
I overheard other patrons being told that certain items were out of stock. I believe someone was told they had no more gravy.
The washrooms were dirty.
All in all, not what I expected and I feel like this restaurant isn't properly stocked. I left with the impression that the restaurant is not that busy and is hurting for business.
