I booked a trip to Maui for one week and stayed at Ocean Breezes; unfortunately, one day into our trip my fiance's father passed away in an accident. Rushing back home meant spending a lot of money on additional airfare, and I was concerned that I would also lose lots of money on the hotel. The financial loss added further stress to the death of a family member. Luckily the owner of Ocean Breezes, Anjali, was sympathetic to our situation despite the written policy stating no refunds. She refunded a large portion for the days which we could not stay. As far as hotel accommodations, the experience was amazing and we were very sad to be leaving so soon. We will be returning to Ocean Breezes when we come back to Maui!
