My wife and I cannot begin to explain how awesome Windward Gardens was. She says it best in that it "invokes a feeling". We stayed in the Ariel suite which has an ocean and garden view. We had a great time getting to know Chris and their son Ariel and the other guests. Hearing about Chris's tales of when he and Susan arrived on the island in the 60's was totally cool. Nothing like a couple of David Crosby stories to make you nastalgic for a simpler time. Even though Susan fell ill the week we were there, Chris did an amazing job of making sure all the guests were well taken care of. We are defineatly going to stay at the Windward Gardens again when we visit Maui, however I almost didnt want to write this review because I didnt want anyone to know about the jewel we found on the tropical cliffs of the Magic Isle. God put beauty on earth for all of us to enjoy and there is plenty of beauty, in every sense, at Windward Gardens.
