“Beautiful, Hard to Get to, and DANGEROUS!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2013

It is absolutely beautiful. And hard to get to. And VERY dangerous.

The last 30 feet of trail is VERY steep and slippery, next to a stream. A fall there would ruin your day.

It is a challenging walk for older folks to get to the Queens bath across the big rough basalt slabs and boulders.

STAY AWAY FROM ANYWHERE THE WAVES ARE HITTING THE ROCKS! We have seen waves come up big enough to pull you right in, beautiful to watch, but if you get caught it will ruin your whole family's day. The resorts will advise you not to go, for good reason. Over 20 people have died on that small piece of rock. If you choose the danger and go, you do so at your own peril. HEED THE WARNINGS PLEASE!

“Great little hike and a waterfall too.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2013

A great little hike but in the winter stay away from the water it is too dangerous. You will be treated to a nice little waterfall by the stream on the way down. Great to watch the raging sea.

“Waves”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 1, 2013

Nice place to say you have seen...Most of the times I've walked down the waves coming in are very strong.

Would not suggest you to spend any time in the actual pool as it is very dangerous because of the waves...

“Closed”

There have been 2 accidents so it is off limits. I had been there before and it is not that big a deal.

“Royal location not visited by just anyone.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

This place is an adventure. A bit hard to find and very limited legal parking at the trail head (go early, before 10am). Not for the fainthearted or the infirm. The trail is a little steep and uneven so you need to be in decent shape. And you need to understand this is not Disneyland. You CAN get hurt! So take care and you'll be fine. We made it in our 60's and were ok. Pay attention to the signage and use good common sense and you will have a memorable experience. Your goal: a large pool filled with waves breaking over rocks so you are protected. Fish and sea creatures inside. A steep climb up and down so don't go if you are not agile. Beautiful scenery coming and going - watch for sea turtles in the surf.
