Because of the bad reviews given in the years past, I was very leary about staying at these condos, but couldn't afford the princeville resort prices!!! This condo must have been remodeled or changed owners because it was everything I was looking for. My condo # 7102 had all new appliances, new furtiture, granite countertops, the works!!! The view was amazing and it is close to everywhere you need to go!!! if you can't afford to stay at the princeville.....stay close to it and in these condos!!! you will not be disappointed!! Be sure to have the breakfast buffet at the princeville hotel.....that too is amazing!!!

My husband, myself and our 3 kids (aged 10,14 & 19) stayed at the Ali'i Kai fro Dec 29th - Jan 5th, 2008. We had a 2 bedroom condo and even though we didn't have an ocean view - we were in Ali'i Kai II condo # 10D - we had a lovely mountain view from our lanai. The condo was clean and well stocked. Along with a fully stocked kitchen, there was foil, plastic wrap, coffee filters, dishwasher detergent and even laundry detergent for the in-suite washer and dryer! There were plenty of bath towels and pool towels. We found the BBQ very convenient and never had a problem with it being too busy to use. The front office lent us snorkelling gear and beach chairs to use while we were there - left by previous guests! The complex was within walking distance (20 minutes) from the Princeville shopping centre and even though we had a car, it was nice to take a brisk walk around the golfcourse and to the shopping centre which had our favourite Lappert's ice cream store! We got this condo through a timeshare exchange and would recommend it, although it would've been nice to have an ocean view!

The management stuck us in the condo's directly across the street from a major construction project. The noise was unbearable. They also rent that block of condo's to locals who get up at 5 am and do laundry, watch tv, get ready for work, and to teenagers partying all night.

We complained bitterly and were told there were no other units available and there was nothing they could do. They refered us to our time share company who refered us back to the alli kai management.

Very disappointing, what a wasted vacation.

My wife and I stayed at the Ali'i Kai Condo Unit 3204 3-3-07 through 3-7-07. We were scheduled to stay until 3-10-07, but were notified on 3-8-07 that our only son had died.
The Condo was wonderful and the views beyond description. We hope to stay there again in the future. We truly enjoyed our stay.
The Condo and Kauai exceeded our hopes and expectations. I would recommend this Condo to any who want to relax.
We were able to watch the whales every morning from our Lanai.
Again, it was wonderful.
