Well, firstly, you can't beat this view. The restaurant is right on the beach facing in the direction of the setting sun. It also has open windows all along its length which allows for beautiful breezes to come and go as they please, thank goodness, because were it not for the breezes, you wouldn't be able to get the smell of carpet mildew out of your nostrils. We didn't have a full meal here, just cocktails and a few appetizers, but there were people all around us, from families to couples, young and old, hanging out and enjoying the sunset and their dinner, in that order. It's an institution, clearly, that could perhaps benefit from an updating of interior and menu, but honestly, it seems like a full house is all but guaranteed when the sun goes down. And, quite honestly, I have never had so many waiters and waitresses seem genuinely happy to have us there as this crew. The aloha spirit is the strongest through line, and the food that we had was decent if unmemorable. Our waitress was as friendly as I've ever experienced.
