We recently rented a 2 bedroom oceanview deluxe condo at Poipu Kai Resort through Suite-Paradise. We stayed there with my parents, but it would also be a great place for a family as there was tons of room in the condo. The condo was bright & homey, a short walk to 3 different beaches, as promised, where we were treated to many turtles & even dolphins one morning. We even saw one of the endangered Monk Seals at the swim beach early one morning, what a fantastic treat. It was clean, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen was very well appointed. The gardens were very well kept up as was the grounds & pools. We had access to 2 pools. Washer & dryer were a godsend after many trips to the beach and kept our suitcases well within the new airline weight restrictions. We booked our car with our condo and it came from Hertz. Booking only comes with 1 allowable driver, so be sure to pay for the additional driver(s) if that's what you need. Parking was easy and accessible. We were leary of booking over the internet due to a bad experience we had in Maui but were ever so pleased with the efficiency and friendliness of the staff running Suite-Paradise. We also made use of Guest Services for tools and snorkel equipment and were very pleased with the results. I would definitely recommend staying here and if I'm ever going to Kauai again would definitely use their services.

We have been vacationing at Poipu Kai Resorts for many years. We have stayed at three of the complexes and have always had a great time. The units are clean, comfortable, and the Suite Paradise staff is very efficient and helpful. It is a beautiful location. It is located near beaches, restaurants, Popu Shopping Village, the town of Koloa and each complex has a swimming pool, tennis courts are nearby and within walking distance of the Grand Hyatt Hotel. We always feel comfortable and at home. It is perfect for our three week vacation.

We stayed in 1 bedroom condo Kahala 621 and were completely satisfied. We hope to go back to Kauai and request this specific condo. The kitchen and bathroom were recently updated (granite countertops, tile shower, stainless steel appliances, new cabinets). We loved the view and the beach was just a short walk. Very comfortable place to stay

The grounds look much better in person than they did in the internet photo's. When reading review's on this resort before booking I was a little nervous of what we'd get b/c the reviews were so mixed. We booked a condo with an ocean view so that might be the key to getting a condo that's a short walking distance to the beach????

The bed matress was extra firm so if you can't sleep on a firm matress this specific condo isn't for you. We however slept fine.

The only downside of the resort is we ordered snorkle gear and it was delivered to the wrong bldg. Not that big of deal, just that we were waiting for it and it wasted a few hours of our vacation time.

Checking in/out was a breeze. Very friendly staff. Beautiful grounds. Lovely updated condo that was light and bright inside.

  • Liked — The Condo was clean, comfortable, updated, and great location.
  • Disliked — That we had to leave and go back home.

We are in building 8, #810 x 7 days....Beware of a few problems with these condos...Realizing that each condo is owned by someone, the decor can vary etc...Bottom line, it felt like we were in a high density California style apartment complex...aside from palm trees, not a resort, not by the beach, and very disappointing.

Here are the problems that seriously detracted from our stay::

1. NOISE- do not get a bottom floor condo (even though no elevators so you'll have to schlepp everything up stairs to 2nd floor)....every step is heard as a load thumping....we had a large family above us for a few nights and it was a horror, you cannot watch TV let alone sleep with the herds above. The second group moved furniture around to accomodate a large group...had to thump on the ceiling with a stick, after asking them to please be quieter didn't help (they were being quiet, it's the poor construction and lack of floor insulation).

2. Beautiful view of parking lot....great sized balcony staring directly into grills of cars.

3. Small pools tightly surrounded by condos, feeling like an apt complex in LA.

4. Beach?? It was a 6 minute drive to the beach, and if you tried to carry anything on the path to the beach, it was a 15 minute walk ---

5. Master bedroom...not a single photo or artwork on the stark white walls....

Summary, clean, not quiet, not pretty, not the same as a resort hotel on the beach by any stretch of the imagiination....it is a nice condo in terms of kitchen, but if you come for scenery, beachces and quiet, this NOT for you.

There were 8 of us traveling to Hawaii for my sons wedding. We booked a suite of 4 bedrooms and 3 baths with a garden view hoping it was roomy enough. No worries. I got my first choice which was perfect. The house was clean and decorated beautifully and we felt at home as soon as we arrived. It was stocked with everything we could ever need and even had boogie boards, water shoes, beach chairs and beach towels for our use. There was even a bottle of wine in the fridge with a note if we would rather a non-alcoholic beverage we could exchange it. The location as promised was within walking distance of a pool and 2 beautiful beaches. I would recommend this resort for anyone but particularly for families who need more room. There were 2 lanais, plenty of sitting places, and it was well equipped for fun. Thank you suite paradise, these accomidations made it difficult to leave as we had begun to think of it as home.
