Po'ipu has something for everyone. Picnic tables and shade, sunny days, golden clean sand, rocks for snorkeling, swimming for the keikis. There was a huge monk seal sleeping on the beach when we arrived, and a smaller one swam up to the beach while we watched. They don't seem to mind so many people at all. There's a really unique sand bar where waves wash onto it from both sides. Beyond that is the tide pool area with all kinds of sea creatures. There's even a good shave ice stand across the street. The only drawback is that it's FULL of people. But if you don't mind crowds it's a beautiful place.
