“Another wonderful dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2014

The Red Salt once again hit the mark. The service was wonderful. The food was amazing. The view of the pool and grounds are excellent. This is the place we keep coming back to and will be back on our next visit to Kauai.

“Red Salt vs Mama's”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 12, 2014

We stayed at the Koa Kea resort and tried Red Salt, which we heard could rival Mama's Fish House on Maui. No chance in that regard but it was a very good meal. Staff were very friendly.

“Reviews here are spot-on!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 11, 2014

We stayed at the Koa Kea for 6 nights, and had breakfast here each morning and dinner two nights. Every meal was great and the service was excellent.

We didn't intend to eat here our last night in Kauai, but after our server at the Beach House ignored us (we waited 15 minutes after being seated and left), we came back here and were glad we did. Immediately received a warm greeting and were seated right away. Had another great meal and salvaged our special dinner for our last night in Kauai.

The Ahi Tuna was great as was the Ono. The "small" appetizers are pretty standard-sized for a restaurant of this caliber (quality, not quantity!). The sauces with the prawns were phenomenal.

It's not right on the beach/water, but I would definitely recommend given the quality of the service and tastiness of the food.

“Incredible dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2014

Went here on our last night in Kauai. This is truly a gourmet restaurant. Started with the 3 giant prawns with three individual sauces. They were just delightful. My husband had the soup which he said was terrific. Then we each had a seafood entree. I had the seared Ono and he the Mahi. Both were perfectly done with just the right amount of side dishes. We both had dessert and that also did not fail to please. I absolutely would tell anyone to have dinner here. Yes it is pricey but worth every dollar.

“Overpriced... decent food, portions too small.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2014

We came here for my birthday last. We ordered the red salt poke, ridiculously small portion. Good, but not worth the price. Also an Ahi entree again WAY too small 3 pieces of seared ahi, some rice & 1 piece of bok Choy. Bland, bland, bland. Server was a dud. No mention of a happy birthday either, would have been nice considering we came to a nice restaurant to celebrate and spent $200.
