“Intimate restaurant and fun bar!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013

In all the guide books for Hawaii, this is listed as one of the best so we were very excited about getting in. It is tricky to find, in a boutique hotel, but worth the discovery! We sat at the bar and it was a very friendly scene with everyone sharing their adventures that day, favorite drinks, etc. Many were staying at the hotel and raved about the rooms and pool area. The bartender was especially friendly and made terrific drinks. Although we had a window seat when we were seated and had a very nice waitress, I think sitting at the bar and eating the delicious appetizers and sushi would have been more fun. I had a terrific beet salad, prawns 3 ways and scallops (all appetizers and all wonderful). My husband had a pork dish that was just ok. The desserts were also very special. The only drawback is that it was noted that we were celebrating our anniversary and husband's birthday and the host seemed to have forgotten. No big deal though. It was lovely and we enjoyed it.

“Wonderful food at a price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

If you want a nice gourmet dinner, and you understand dinners like that cost more than dinner at most chain restaurants, than this is great place to go to. We had dinner here twice, and they have a sizable wine menu, as well. I would recommend the vanilla bean mahi mahi. I've never had anything like that before. Wait staff is attentive and pleasant. The view of the hotel courtyard at nice is gorgeous. Breakfast here is reasonably priced and delicious, as well.

Our dinner was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was excellent as well as the atmosphere. Try the root beer float dessert!

“Glamorous food in heavenly poipu Kauai”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 4, 2013 via mobile

We walked over to Red Dalt from the Waipahu Beach Club for dinner. When we told the maître de that we had come for dinner without reservations he flashed us a smile and said he would have a table ready for us in 3 minutes, and he did!
The martini sampler was beautifully presented in three small glasses and was delicious.the portions were bigger than we expected, a generous size. We had the Ono, lamb, and shrimp fettuccine carabonara, all were scrumptious. My brother had a Pinot the waiter recommended and then asked about another, waiter offered a taste sample of the other do he could do a side by side tasting.
We were almost too full for dessert, but saw a glorious concoction at another diners table, and asked to have it. It was pineapple cotton candy, not on the menu, but served for special occasions like birthdays or anniversaries. We asked our waiter and he obliged us with one. It comes on a plate looking like a large beehive with a votive candle lit inside so it glows. A beautiful ending to a wonderful meal.

“Breakfast was my favorite”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013

We went twice for breakfast. Both times were delicious. The first was absolutely the best. I had lemon pancakes but not your normal pancakes. They were so light that it was like mousse with a crust. Awesome consistency and taste. Valet parking and the sweetest waitress that had relocated to Kauai made it a very nice experience. The food was great and they even let us print out our boarding passes there. Very nice place, great food and nice people. Could not ask for more!
