“Something was missing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013 via mobile

Yes, the food was good, but the bok choy has dirt on them. When I told the waitress, she said customers don't eat the ends. Yet it was not washed properly.
Yes, the forgot to acknowledge their we were celebrating our anniversary. Why bother asking if we were celebrating a special event when I made the reservations.
I expect better services with the expensive prices of our menu.
However, kudos to the valets. They were very nice!

“Not Worth it's Salt?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013

OK. Let me say that it's a beautiful setting at the Koa Kea Hotel and the service was very good... but, the food was a bit lacking - very plain and kind of boring, especially for the prices - slightly higher than average on Kauai.

Loved the waffles!!!
We also had the lemon pancake souffle - not our favorite compared to the waffles.

“Delicious Splurge”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2013

Everyone in our party of 5 enjoyed everything they ordered. The service was very friendly and attentive. I must say they were also tolerant of our desire to celebrate a milestone. We probably got a bit loud but they were very professional with how they treated us. We thought we would splurge only once there because it is pricey. However, it was so good we splurged again. Well worth it.

“Best dining on south side - good variety and great wine list.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013 via mobile

We had a great experience here - from a nice amuse bouche, great well-priced wine list to nice variety of dishes. Appetizers are small (in a good way!) so I had two - the pork with taro gnocchi and the mushroom soup, both were perfect. I then tried the grilled Tofu in Thai green sauce, also perfect!! They had some nice selections at mark-ups that were not ridiculous like at so many in Hawaii.
