I have been to 5 other luaus in my life and this one was the most boring. The production value was terrible as the band leader acted like an emcee instead of being part of the show. It was so fragmented and they stopped between each act to introduce the next dance and the emcee talked to the audience to ask the audience to give applause for the dancers. No ebb and flow to the program and no feeling of being at a luau. I felt like I was sitting in the middle of a shopping mall watching different dancing acts from different dance teams. The dancers were good and the music was authentic, but it was so sterile and poorly produced that I was actually bored. And the other reviewers are correct in that you are not going to a luau where you have a pretty setting with dinner and a show. You go to a restaurant for dinner and then see a show in a hallway at the Marriott. Waste of my money. I feel sorry for the performers who worked so hard to have a final production like this result. Also, no beverages served, you either buy them at a nearby Marriott shop or go to the bar which is a few minutes walk from the area where the show is located. I don't understand why they wouldn't do the show at the beach or something interesting.
